VIVIAN REED, the two-time Tony Award-nominated Broadway star and concert artist called "remarkable and ferocious" by The New York Times, will return to New York on Saturday April 2 at 9:30 PM, with the opening night of her new show "Standards and More" at The Metropolitan Room. Her special guests for this performance will be Metropolitan Opera soprano Janinah Burnett and Broadway star Raun Ruffin, who appeared in The Civil War. Reed will also appear at The Metropolitan Room on May 23, June 17 and July 21, backed by a four-piece band led by Billy McDaniel. The evening will include unique arrangements of classic standards by Duke Ellington, Rodgers & Hart, Cole Porter and George Gershwin in a dazzling blend of pop, jazz, soul and R&B.

Tracing the lives of stars from nebula to supernova, Sayre extracts a fresh definition for love in his latest performance piece. Wedding personal stories with the science and poetry of astronomy, LOVE'S REFRAIN is romanticism for the modern age. The piece is directed by acclaimed visual artist Matthu Placek with costume design by Dusty Childers and a musical score by David John Sokolowski.

James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director of York Theater Company has announced that as part of its Developmental Reading Series, it will present Erik Ransom's 'More Than All the World' an epic musical inspired by Christopher Marlowe's 'Edward II' directed by Rachel Klein ('Around the World in 80 Days', 'The Anthem') with music direction and arrangements by Andy Peterson ('Atomic').
