The Broadway Experience returned for a sixth summer program at Manhattan Movement & Arts Center from July 29th - August 11th. With 22 professional educators from the Broadway community, TBE offered over 60 classes, workshops, lectures, and a performance based second week. TBE also launched a new Pre-Professional level for college age students and invited Sierra Boggess as guest speaker. In addition to Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, NBC's 'Smash'), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), and Ashley Spencer (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Rock of Ages), Michael will be joined by Michael Hunsaker (Faustus), Marissa McGowan (A Little Night Music, Bonnie & Clyde), Jacqueline Petroccia (Lincoln Center's Carousel).

The Village Gate's Old-Fashioned Piano Party will play its last hurrah on Sunday, May 20, 9PM at The Gallery at le Poisson Rouge. The musical theatre themed open-mic night, created by Kevin Michael Murphy with music direction by Caleb Hoyer, has been delighting New York nightlife every Sunday night since October 2010. Over that time notable guests have included Kate Shindle, Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk, Adam Gown, Jason Michael Snow, Russell Fischer, and Jay Armstrong Johnson.
