Deadline reports that USA Network has canceled its paramedic comedy series SIRENS, from Fox 21 TV Studios, Denis Leary and Bob Fisher. 

USA Network brings back two dynamic series in January. From Creator and Executive Producer Aaron Korsh, the critically acclaimed drama SUITS returns on Wednesday, January 28 at 10/9c for the remainder of its 4th season.

USA Network today announced a 13-episode order for season two of the original, half-hour comedy series SIRENS from Fox Television Studios and executive producers Denis Leary ('Rescue Me') and Bob Fisher ('Wedding Crashers').

Eat, Pray, Love author Elizabeth Gilbert's new novel, The Signature of All Things, is on the shortlist for this year's £30,000 Wellcome book prize. Her book, about botany and exploration, is competing against more straightforwardly scientific titles, since the Wellcome prize can be awarded to fiction or non-fiction titles. Gilbert's book is the only novel to be shortlisted for the award. Only one fiction novel has ever won this prize before, Alice LaPlante's Turn of Mind in 2011. The winner will be announced on April 29th.

USA Network will premiere a dynamic Thursday night line-up this March featuring the mid-season premiere of the critically-acclaimed series Suits on Thursday, March 6 at 9/8c, followed by the series premiere of new half-hour comedy SIRENS at 10/9c.

USA Network today greenlit a new original half hour comedy pilot with an order for DIVIDE & CONQUER from executive producer and writer Peter Ocko (FAIRLY LEGAL, "The Office," "Pushing Daisies"). The news comes on the heels of the network's first comedy series pickups for SIRENS and PLAYING HOUSE and a pilot order for LOVE IS DEAD. The network's first original comedies are slated to premiere in first quarter 2014, following the launch of the award-winning and top-rated comedy MODERN FAMILY, on USA on Tuesday, September 24 at 8/7c.

USA's newest original series GRACELAND, featuring Broadway veteran Aaron Tveit, will kick off the network's summer slate of original dramas, featuring SUITS, BURN NOTICE, ROYAL PAINS, COVERT AFFAIRS and NECESSARY ROUGHNESS. USA Network today greenlit its first original half-hour comedies, with series orders for SIRENS from Denis Leary ('Rescue Me') and Bob Fisher ('Wedding Crashers') and PLAYING HOUSE from Jessica St. Clair ('Bridesmaids,' 'Best Friends Forever') and Lennon Parham ('Best Friends Forever,' 'Accidentally On Purpose').

J.R. Ward's latest BLACK DAGGER BROTHERHOOD novel, LOVER AT LAST, landed at the top of The New York Times' best fiction best seller list for the week ending April 14.

Harlan Coben's latest novel, SIX YEARS, debuted at the top of The New York Times' best fiction best seller list for the week ending April 7. A film adaptation of the thriller is now being developed by Paramount, with LES MISERABLES' Hugh Jackman set to star.

PBS previously announced the addition of a series of health-focused specials to its smart and popular EXPLORATION WEDNESDAYS science programming block on Wednesday evenings. The specials follow best-selling British author, journalist and popular TV personality Dr. Michael Mosley as he conducts experiments on himself to improve his health and discovers how the human body works. The three-part series follows Nature and NOVA on Wednesdays, tonight, April 3-17, 2013, 10:00-11:00 p.m. ET on PBS.

USA Network today finalized a cast contingent pilot order for the hour-long period genre series HORIZON. The Universal Cable Productions' project with Valhalla Entertainment is the first new pilot from executive producer Gale Anne Hurd since the Golden Globe®-nominated "The Walking Dead," which comes from her studio deal. Stacey Levin, Valhalla's VP of Television, and Kris Henigman, Director of Development, shepherded the project.
