Christopher Wheeldon's stunning reinvention of the Oscar winning film (that starred Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron) features the sublime music and lyrics of George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a new book by Craig Lucas.

WICKED Announces Added Holiday Performances

WICKED, the spellbinding musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, has added three extra Christmas matinees: on Thursday 22 December, Monday 26 December 2016 and Thursday 29 December 2016. All extra shows start at 2.30pm at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre.

WICKED YOUNG WRITER AWARDS Scribble Towards their Seventh Year

THE WICKED YOUNG WRITER AWARDS, created and sponsored by the award-winning musical Wicked in association with the National Literacy Trust (www.literacytrust.org.uk), is pleased to announce that the acclaimed author and illustrator of the How to Train Your Dragon books, Cressida Cowell, will return as Head Judge for the awards for the third consecutive year. Jonathan Douglas, Director of the National Literacy Trust, will also be returning as part of the judging panel.

Willemijn Verkaik Returns to WICKED this January!

WICKED, the award-winning West End musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, is pleased to welcome back Willemijn Verkaik as 'Elphaba' and Sue Kelvin as 'Madame Morrible' from Monday 30 January 2017. Sarah McNicholas will also join the cast as 'Nessarose' on the same date.

WICKED, the West End musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, is proud to announce that, from Monday 5 September 2016, the new cast that will lead the award-winning show through its 10th birthday celebrations at the Apollo Victoria Theatre will include: Rachel Tucker, who will return to the London production direct from a triumphant run on Broadway to play Elphaba; Suzie Mathers, who joins from the Australian production to star as Glinda; Oliver Savile, who continues as Fiyero; Anita Dobson, who joins to play Madame Morrible; Mark Curry, who continues as The Wizard; original cast member Martin Ball, who returns to play Doctor Dillamond; original cast member Katie Rowley Jones, who continues as Nessarose and Idriss Kargbo, who joins to play Boq.

WICKED, the West End musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, was delighted to welcome Beau Dermott and her family to the Apollo Victoria Theatre last night (Friday 15 April), where she met the cast after the show. 12 year old Beau's rendition of Wicked's hit song 'Defying Gravity' wowed the judges on ITV's Britain's Got Talent, winning her the 'Golden Buzzer' and immediately securing herself a place in the live semi-finals.

WICKED Becomes 8th Longest-Running Show in West End

WICKED, the West End musical phenomenon that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, has become the 8th longest-running show currently playing in the West End*, following the closure on Saturday 9th April 2016 of Billy Elliot The Musical after an incredible run of 11 years. Wicked, which is now in its 10th year, is already the 19th longest-running show in West End theatre history*.  *Information verified by The Society of London Theatre.
