Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you some cabaret highlights for this week as picked by our theatre editors, including: Scott Alan and Friends; Livin' La Vida Grande; Christine Ebersole in Big Noise from Winnetka; Mitchell Jarvis in Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living Everywhere; and The Songs of F. Nicholas Christopher (Motown, Rent), Gavin Lodge (Annie, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert), Jacey Powers (Falling, Our Town), and Jason Michael Snow (The Book of Mormon, Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man) have joined the cast of the upcoming Band Geeks in Concert at 54 Below on January 18th. They join the previously announced Jill Abramovitz (Cinderella, It Should've Been You), F. Michael Haynie (Wicked, NBC's Peter Pan Live), Lindsay Mendez (Wicked, Dogfight), Ruthie Ann Miles (Here Lies Love, The King and I), Mike Millan (Piece of My Heart), Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones, Fly by Night), Ben Platt (Book of Mormon, Pitch Perfect), and Daniel Quadrino (Newsies, NBC's Peter Pan Live).

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will present THE SONGS OF F. MICHAEL HAYNIE on Friday, January 23rd at 11:30pm. The newly announced list of special guests who will perform with F. includes Taylor Louderman (Bring It On, "Peter Pan LIVE!"), Ben Fankhauser (Newsies), Jeremy Morse (Bloodsong of Love), and Julia Mattison (Godspell), among others.

In a market dominated largely by living legends, the young and up-and-coming composers musical theatre have a hard time breaking into the scene. However, that's not keeping Drew Gasparini from sharing his music wherever and whenever he can. For one night only (February 10 at 7PM and 9:30PM), the Lost Boys can be found on the stage of 54 Below! Last year, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron brought The Sound of Music starring country star (and former American Idol winner) Carrie Underwood in the leading role of Maria live to millions of people across the country. With this live performance featuring Broadway vets like Christian Borle and Laura Benanti in supporting roles, America was exposed to a small taste of what happens eight times a week on Broadway. To some, The Sound of Music Live was their first big exposure to the magic and wonder of Broadway, perhaps leading young viewers to bigger and grander things.

On January 18th an all-star cast will bring the musical Band Geeks to life in a concert presentation at 54 Below. In this outrageous concert event, composer NATALIE TENENBAUM and lyricist KEVIN WANZOR join forces to take on the most appalling, annoying and hysterical people New Yorkers encounter. Performed by some of the BEST PERFORMERS YOU KNOW, the comedy concert promises to be a celebration of all our most irritating moments.

Tonight, November 20th, Broadway Sessions welcomes Broadway actors who are also Singer/Songwriters to perform their original music. Artists scheduled to perform include Josh Franklin, Janet Krupin, Blake Whyte, John Arthur Greene, F. Michael Haynie and more.
