Qdos Entertainment's production of Cinderella will run at the London Palladium for five weeks only over the Festive season from Saturday 10 December 2016 to Sunday 15 January 2017, with press night on Wednesday 14 December 2016.

Overtone Industries, a celebrated force in the evolution of contemporary music theatre and experimental opera, will share the next phase of its epic new multidisciplinary production, ICELAND, in concert form, at the Ford Theatres' stunning, newly renovated amphitheatre in Los Angeles on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 8:30pm. Written and composed by O-Lan Jones, in collaboration with critically acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Emmett Tinley, ICELAND is a modern love story, set in a mythical and timeless world, where ancient creatures challenge the hero and heroine on an archetypal journey. The work tells an intimate story, beginning in an Icelandic airport and journeying off the map of the known world, into the realm of "The Hiddenfolk" and the vast mythic inner landscapes of Iceland. The ICELAND Concert at the Ford, presented for the first time with full orchestration and complete score, will be directed and choreographed by local legend Ken Roht, with musical direction by David O, as well as additional creative scenic design elements and impressionistic costumes. Natasha J Barnes who will play the title role of Cinderella, Suzie Chard and Wendy Sommerville who will play The Wicked Stepsisters complete the casting for the London Palladium Pantomime this Christmas. They join the previously announced Paul O'Grady (The Wicked Stepmother), Julian Clary (Dandini), Amanda Holden (The Fairy Godmother), Lee Mead (Prince Charming), Paul Zerdin (Buttons), Nigel Havers (Lord Chamberlain) and Count Arthur Strong (Baron Hardup).

The Daily Mail has reported that Natasha J. Barnes has been cast in the title role in the forthcoming London revival of Cinderella. 

Texas Performing Arts presents a vocal-infused double bill featuring Grammy Award®-winning ensemble Roomful of Teeth and an encore performance of Mozart Requiem Undead by Panoramic Voices (formerly the Texas Choral Consort and Orchestra) along with Austin-based vocal ensemble Convergence. The evening will also feature the world premiere of Caleb Burhans' Tired Tropes for Battered Souls, which has been commissioned by Texas Performing Arts and KMFA-FM.

The Menier Chocolate Factory has announced that Harry Hepple (Baker), Steffan Lloyd-Evans (Wolf/ Cinderella's Prince) and Laura Tebbutt (Baker's Wife) will join the company of Fiasco's enchanting reinvention of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's masterpiece INTO THE WOODS. BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT judge Amanda Holden has a busy theatre schedule this year. After touring with STEPPING OUT this autumn, the Daily Mail reports she will fly into the London Palladium production of CINDERELLA as the Fairy Godmother, for a five-week run from December 9.

Broadway is in sight for the West End revival of GYPSY, starring Imelda Staunton. Following earlier reports of a transfer, The Daily Mail hints that the musical will come to New York in 2018.

Today, Curve Artistic Director, Nikolai Foster, announces the cast for his production of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. BAFTA and Golden Globe-nominated actress Cathy Tyson will star as the iconic Lady Bracknell in Foster's stylish reimagining of Wilde's much-loved comedy. Cathy is best known for her role in the multi-award winning film Mona Lisa, classic ITV drama series Band of Gold and her stage work with the RSC and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse.

Hot on the heels of a record-breaking, critically acclaimed West End run, this new production of FUNNY GIRL embarks on a major national tour in 2017. The five-star production opens at Manchester Palace, where it runs for a week from 20 February, before touring to venues including Milton Keynes Theatre, Liverpool Empire, Bristol Hippodrome, Stoke Regent Theatre, His Majesty's Theatre Aberdeen, Edinburgh Playhouse, New Victoria Theatre Woking, Marlowe Theatre Canterbury, Birmingham Hippodrome, Newcastle Theatre Royal, Mayflower Theatre Southampton, King's Theatre Glasgow, Nottingham Theatre Royal and Southend Cliffs Pavilion. Following their success at the Tony Awards last night, where they won Best Musical Revival for The Color Purple and Cynthia Erivo won Best Actress in a Musical, the Menier Chocolate Factory announces that rehearsals start today in New York for innovative and ground breaking theatre company Fiasco's enchanting reinvention of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's masterpiece Into The Woods. Both Sondheim and Lapine will join the company in rehearsal this week. The production opens on 12 July at the Menier, with previews from 1 July, and runs until 17 September.

On Saturday 14 May, Birmingham Hippodrome held its sixth successful Gala Dinner on its famous stage for nearly 300 guests.  Over £50,000 was raised for the theatre's award-winning Hippodrome CREATIVE programme of learning, access and free community performance.
