Take a journey into a captivating world of dark secrets with Frank Wildhorn, Steve Cuden, and Leslie Bricusse's gripping musical thriller Jekyll & Hyde at Webster Theatre Guild this fall! Intended for mature audiences, this evocative tale of the epic battle between good and evil is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story about a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human personality create a murderous counterpart. Convinced the cure for his father's mental illness lies in the separation of Man's evil nature from his good, Dr. Henry Jekyll unwittingly unleashes his own dark side, wreaking havoc in the streets of late 19th century London as the savage, maniacal Edward Hyde.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Hemsworth ('Thor,' 'The Avengers') and Charlie Day ('Horrible Bosses,' 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia') have been added to the cast of the reboot of the classic 'Vacation' series.
What a week this has been. The cast was excited to be on their feet, turning the cerebral into the physical. It's been a week of staging, cutting, adding, discussing and finessing. It's important to remember that everyone is valuable, and finding the best way to utilize their individual talents goes "part and parcel" with team leadership.

The first week began on a high, a mile-high to be exact. Just like the miners who came to Colorado in search of treasure, the cast, crew and design team of The Unsinkable Molly Brown, led by Kathleen Marshall journeyed to the Denver Center to begin telling the story of Margaret 'Call Me Molly' Tobin Brown. As with most 'First Day of School' days, the energy, excitement and anticipation permeated the room. After a brief introduction, DCPA Producing Artistic Director Kent Thompson began by telling us how truly special Margaret 'Molly' Brown is to the people of Denver and how thrilled the community was to have this production premiere at the DCPA.

Fresh off its recent Tchaikovsky production at BAM Fisher, the Ensemble of the Romantic Century (ERC) presents another fully staged theatrical concert interweaving drama and music about one of the most famous trials of the 19th century. Delivered by a top-caliber cast in an intimate setting, The Trial of Oscar Wilde focuses on the tragic shackling, public scrutiny, and subsequent imprisonment of the homosexual playwright/writer Oscar Wilde (1854-1900). A script based on Wilde's correspondence, plays, and short stories (performed by Broadway's Michael Halling as Oscar Wilde and esteemed Robert Ian Mackenzie as Lord Queensbury) provides a dramatic backdrop for chamber music by French and English composers from the late 19th and early 20th centuries including Chausson's masterful Concerto for violin, piano and string quartet, and works by Satie, Elgar, Faure and Franck in performances by the dynamic Amphion String Quartet, violinist Susie Park, pianist Max Barros and a romping barbershop quartet.
