Directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, this classic tale filled with love, laughter, and mistaken identity features original songs composed by Heather Christian and dances by Alexandra Beller. Folger Theatre's 2016/17 season kicks off with an inspired stage adaptation of one of literature's most cherished novels, Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. This all-new production of the critically acclaimed play is adapted by Kate Hamilland directed by the Wall Street Journal's Director of the Year (2014), Eric Tucker, Artistic Director of Bedlam Theater in New York. But when two actors share a stage kiss it is natural for the oxytocin created in our pituitary glands to manifest and make those feelings intensify, but is it love? Now, take two actors, who are former lovers, and each involved in other relationships share a kiss and those hormonal levels are magnified and can bring out the worst or the best in people.
