Romeo and Juliet and their zany Robot take Shakespeare's masterpiece and break-dance it down for kids in the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's Shakespeare for Kids. The production runs July 28-31 and August 3-7 at 10am at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts at DeSales University.

The Nightlife and Bistro Award-winning Metropolitan Room is accepting applications for the 2010 'MetroStar Talent Challenge' through Sunday June 27. This year's jury and audience-voted, elimination-round competition for singers runs for eight consecutive Mondays, from July 12 through August 30.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs has announced the nominees for the 2010 24th Annual MAC Awards. The ceremony honoring the nominees, will take place on May 4, 2010 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, and will be hosted by Sharon McNight. Leslie Uggams will be honored for Lifetime Achievement, with Board of Directors Awards being presented to Peter Leavy and playbill.com. The event will begin at 7:30pm. Doors open at 6:00pm. Lennie Watts will direct the evening, with Tracy Stark musical directing.
