BroadwayWorld has just learned that iconic Irish dancer Michael Flatley will be celebrated tonight, December 18, at 7:30 p.m. at LORD OF THE DANCE: DANGEROUS GAMES, playing at Broadway's Lyric Theatre. United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), in collaboration with Global Millennium Development Foundation (GMDF) and SWW Creative, will host a special performance of the show.

 The beloved Broadway tradition continues! On Friday afternoon, Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games star Michael Flatley was joined by castmates, friends, and fans, as as Sardi's added his caricature to its walls. Michael Flatley, creator of LORD OF THE DANCE - DANGEROUS GAMES, stopped by NBC's TODAY to talk with Al Roker about the new show which is playing at the Lyric Theater in New York City, as well as the nationwide tour and his plans for his upcoming retirement.

Based on the smash hit 2003 film of the same title, School of Rock: THE MUSICAL, with music from the movie, as well as an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater, a book byJulian Fellowes and direction by Laurence Connor, made its World Premiere on Broadway last night, December 6, at the Winter Garden Theatre. Following his acclaimed Broadway debut, Michael Flatley has announced the highly anticipated U.S. tour of his Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games which, like the current Broadway engagement, Mr. Flatley himself will headline in what will mark his final onstage appearances as a performer following a remarkable 20 year run as the creator and star of the Lord of the Dance franchise.

Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games is extending its run at the Playhouse Theatre for three weeks, now finishing on 24 January 2016.  Tickets for the new period are now on sale.

A play about Beatles legend John Lennon which opened in Australia, has played Off Broadway New York, and wowed audience at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival is heading to Liverpool for two weeks in April 2016.
