ABC continues its commitment to distinctive storytelling with the announcement of its 2016-17 slate of programming, including the addition of nine new series. Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment, will unveil the network's new lineup to the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall, in New York City.

NBC Cancels WELCOME TO THE FAMILY & IRONSIDE

According to Deadline, NBC has cancelled its struggling freshman series WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, starring Mike O'Malley and Mary McCormack, and its reboot of IRONSIDE, lead by Blair Underwood. FAMILY's cancellation is effective immediately, while IRONSIDE will air one additional episode next Wednesday, Oct. 23.
ABC Picks Up Workplace Comedy from THE BIG C Showrunner

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has purchased the comedy WORK WITH JERKS from the former Showtime showrunner, and given it a script order plus penalty. BOB'S BURGERS' Wendy and Lizzie Molyneux are set to write and executive produce with Bicks.
