The Petersons are a five piece contemporary music ensemble comprised of five accomplished actors, writers, and comedians who play original rock tunes and present a continuing serial comedy about a misfit band from upstate New York who still want to make it big. Having performed more than 40 of these episodes around New York City at Joe's Pub, Caroline's on Broadway, The Bottom Line and many other venues, the band returns to the scene with their first performance in several years. But don't call it a comeback!

The work of playwright Will Eno is one of the most discussed and debated subjects in the theatre world today. Eno, a Brooklyn-based artist whose work is more often produced in Europe than it is in the U.S., is the creator of such controversial plays as Thom Pain (based on nothing), Middletown and, most recently The Realistic Joneses starring Toni Collette, Michael C. Hall, Tracy Letts and Marisa Tomei.

Will Eno's new play The Realistic Joneses played its final performance of the limited run on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at 3:00 pm, having played 27 previews and 105 performances for a total of 132 performances. It began performances Thursday, March 13, 2014, with an official opening night on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at the Lyceum Theatre (149 W 45th Street).

Richmond Triangle Players closes its season with the Sam Mendes revival of Kander and Ebb's CABARET, which has returned to Broadway for a limited engagement at Studio 54. While it would be a real treat to see Alan Cumming, Michelle Williams and company, the Triangle Players' production stands well on its own.

Just last night, Drama Desk and Tony Award winner Laura Benanti ('The Sound of Music Live!', Gypsy, Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) hosted the 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street). Big winners for the night included Audra McDonald, Bryan Cranston, Jessie Mueller, and Neil Patrick Harris and Jefferson Mays- who tied for Outstanding Actor in a Musical. Benaroya Pictures has announced today that they are now on board to produce and finance director Olivier Assayas' IDOL'S EYE, with a confirmed cast that includes Robert Pattinson and Robert De Niro.

Benaroya Pictures has announced today that they are now on board to produce and finance director Olivier Assayas' IDOL'S EYE, with a confirmed cast that includes Robert Pattinson and Robert De Niro. Charles Gillibert developed and produced the project with CG Cinema, Bluegrass Films' Scott Stuber, Film 360's Scott Lambert, Alexandra Milchan and Michael Benaroya, with Ben Sachs executive producing for Benaroya Pictures. The film is scheduled to begin principal photography in October in Chicago and Toronto.

IFC FIlms presents COLDIN JULY, a film by Jim Mickle, starring Michael C. Hall, Sam Shepard, Don Johnson and Wyatt Russell, based on the book by Joe R. Lansdale. The movie will open theatrically and on VOD today, May 23, 2014. COLD IN JULY made its World Premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
