Following successful runs at New York City Off-Broadway theater 59E59 and at Lincoln Center Theater's Director's Lab, dog & pony dc bring their critically acclaimed production of BEERTOWN on tour to Omaha. The tour features dynamic collaborations with dog & pony dc ensemble members and local actors and their communities across the country, each time crafting a new and uniquely relevant BEERTOWN. Anfang Oktober premierte im Landestheater Linz das erste Musical der Saison, mit SINGIN' IN THE RAIN ein echter Klassiker. Auf der Buhne zu sehen sind Mitglieder des Ensembles, inseniert wird die Produktion von der gefeierten Regisseurin und Choreographin Melissa King. Das Premierenpublikum bedachte die Vorstellung mit anhaltendem Applaus, und auch die Kritiker waren begeistert:

Eines der grandiosesten Musicals, auf einer großen literarischen Vorlage basierend, mit hinreißenden, unverganglichen Songs von MONEY, TWO LADIES, WILLKOMMEN bis hin zum Titelsong CABARET, wird dieses Jahr Rahmen der Bad Hersfelder Festspiele auf die Buhne der Stiftsruine gebracht. Die Premiere fand 19. Juni vor begeisterem Publikum statt. Auf Grund der großen Nachfrage wurden dem Spielplan bereits 2 weitere Nachmittagsvorstellungen (am 12. Juli und 19. Juli) hinzugefugt.
Das Landestheater Linz hat den Spielplan fur die Saison 2015/2016 vorgestellt. Das Programm umfasst neben der Wiederaufnahme des kurzlich angelaufenen 'The Who's Tommy', vier Musicalpremieren. Den Anfang macht im Oktober der Klassiker SINGIN' IN THE RAIN im Musiktheater Volksgarten, gefolgt von HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH im Blackbox Theater. Im neuen Jahr ist dann im Schauspielhaus Promenade zum ersten Mal in Österreich GRAND HOTEL zu erleben. Den Abschluss macht dann das Sondheim Erfolgsmusical INTO THE WOODS - AB IN DEN WALD, das ab April im Musiktheater Volksgarten zu sehen sein wird.
Das Program der Jubilaumsspielzeit 2015/2016 steht nun fest, und enthalt neben zahlreichen anderen Produktionen zwei Musicals: Stephen Sondheim's DAS LÄCHELN EINER SOMMERNACHT und HAIR. Als Wiederaufnahmen der vergangenen Spielzeit werden außerdem auch SINGIN' IN THE RAIN und TSCHITTI TSCHITTI BÄNG BÄNG erneut zu sehen sein.

Show Boat beendete am Sonntagabend seine Auffuhrungszeit in Bad Hersfeld. Mit diesem Musical gelang den Bad Hersfelder Festspielen eine rundum gelungene Produktion unter der Regie und Choreographie von Melissa King und der musikalischen Leitung von Christoph Wohlleben.
