Cape Rep Theatre will soon present the Cape Cod premiere of Peter and the Starcatcher by Rick Elice, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, with music by Wayne Barker, November 3 through December 4: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm, with an additional 2 pm matinee on Saturday, November 26. There are no performances on November 6, 9, 23 or 24.  Tickets are $35.  Pay-What-You-Can-Night is the first Friday, November 4. The 46th season of The Theatre Company of the University of Detroit Mercy will launch Sept. 22-Oct. 9, 2016, with the Michigan premiere of Kenneth Jones' fact-inspired drama Alabama Story, a play with unique ties to The Motor City.

Theatre Nova, an Ann Arbor company that focuses exclusively on new and recent plays, will premiere "Katherine," a new comedy about mothers and daughters by playwright Kim Carney this May.

In April, Two Muses Theatre will continue its fifth season at its new space, shared with the Monster Box Theatre, in Waterford. Two Muses Theatre had to relocate in December 2015, following the closing of its original home inside the West Bloomfield Barnes & Noble.
