EgoPo Classic Theater celebrates its 25th Anniversary with the 2017-18 John Guare Festival. As the centerpiece of the season, the company is presenting the world premiere of Guare's Lydie Breeze Trilogy. This three-part American epic can be experienced in three ways: as a three-part series spread over three months, a three-night marathon, or a one-day (nine-hour) marathon with built in meal breaks. The performances of these modern American classics begin January 31, 2018 with Part I, and will run through May 6, 2018. All performances of the Lydie Breeze Trilogy will be held at Christ Church Neighborhood House, 20 N. American Street. The Comrades are pleased to announce their 2017/18 Season, kicking off this fall with BOB: A LIFE IN FIVE ACTS, a comedic exploration of American mythology and values, written by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb. Next spring, the season continues with the Chicago premiere of ROW AFTER ROW, a dark comedy that chronicles two hardcore Civil War re-enactors, written by Jessica Dickey. David Goldyn's Off-Broadway play "Daddy Issues" will open August 4 at the Parliament House Footlight Theatre, Central Florida's only LGBT theatre. The farcical comedy opened Off-Broadway at the Theatre at St. Clements in September 2016, and was hailed by critics as "Hilarious," "Touching," and the Huffington Post said it was a "Frothy, whipped gelatin dessert of a show!"
