The Town Hall Theater Young Company will perform an inventive and hilarious retelling of Alice and Wonderland on August 23 &24 at 7pm. This adaption was created by the Manhattan Project under the directions of Andre Gregory in 1972 and was inspired by both Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. This version of Alice was a seminal work for the period that met with international acclaim. It uses the original text by Lewis Carroll but takes of advantage of all kinds of theatricality and adds some dark twists and turns to Alice's adventure. 

Offering a first look at the year ahead in independent film, culture and new ideas, Sundance Institute announced today the 65 films selected for the U.S. Competition, World Competition and out-of-competition NEXT category set to premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, January 21-31 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. Films that have premiered in these sections include Beasts of the Southern Wild, Fruitvale Station,Whiplash, Blackfish, The September Issue, The Cove, An Education, Animal Kingdom, Precious, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, Obvious Child, Tangerine and Escape from Tomorrow.

Sarah Megan Thomas, the star of the films Backwards with James Van Der Beek, and Equity with James Purefoy, will appear with Bill Connington, who stars in the recently released film Zombie, based on the novella by Joyce Carol Oates--in a staged reading of Private Lives by theatrical legend Noel Coward. The glittering white and gold-gilded ballroom of a private Eastside club will act as the backdrop for Coward's most beloved play. The evening is produced by Razors Edge Productions.

Over the weekend, Richard Skipper kicked off a yearlong celebration of the 50th anniversary of HELLO, DOLLY! with members of the original Broadway cast! In attendence for the special reunion were Nicole Barth (Original cast), Paul Berne (dancer, Original Company), Carleton Carpenter and Johnny Beecher (Sheridan (Cornelius Hackl and Barnaby Tucker: Mary Martin International Company), Wayne Clark (first National Company with Carol Channing), John Anthony Gilvey, David Hartman (Rudolph and Stage Manager: Original Company), Charles Karel (Original cast), Jan LaPrad (Original Company dancer), Joan 'Buttons' Leonard (original company), Bob Lydiard (Cornelius Hackl, Carol's first Broadway Revival), Lee Roy Reams (Cornelius Hackl 1977 tour and Broadway Revival, director 1996 Broadway tour and Revival),Megan Thomas (Carol's last tour), Andrea Bell (started with Carol Channing, as Ermengarde at the age of seventeen, in Carol's FIRST national tour as well as other productions.) Marvel Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan (SPEJ) announced today the return of iconic Super Hero, Iron Man, to the beloved world of anime in an all-new feature-length film, IRON MAN: RISE OF TECHNOVORE. Produced by Madhouse and currently in production in Japan, the film is slated for release on DVD in the spring of 2013.

Based on per screen averages, BACKWARDS opened in select cities nationwide close behind 'The Master' and 'Arbitrage' among new, indie film releases, landing it in the top 12 of all new releases. The film stars Sarah Megan Thomas, James Van Der Beek, Margaret Colin, and Glenn Morshower and is directed by Ben Hickernell.
