Pillars of New York to Close Wednesday, September 7th

Write Act Repertory's Producing Artistic Director John Lant has announced the East Coast premiere of PILLARS OF NEW YORK, a new musical with book, lyrics and music by Michael Antin, and directed by Jim Blanchette will close as scheduled on Wednesday, September 7th. The final performances are Tuesday, September 6th and Wednesday, September 7th at 7:00 pm.

Write Act Repertory presents the East Coast premiere of PILLARS OF NEW YORK, a new musical with book, lyrics and music by Michael Antin, and directed by Jim Blanchette. The production will preview tonight, July 6, at 7:30 p.m. and open on Tuesday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m. Performances then run Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. from July 13 through September 7 at St. Luke's Theatre, located at 308 West 46th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues). Despite the fact that it is led by two adorably dorky characters, it features Sorkin-level intelligent banter, and it consciously avoids all of the genre's cliches, 'What If;' the new movie starring Broadway regulars Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan; is a tried-and-true Romantic-Comedy at heart. Opening in select cities today, before expanding nationwide next week, 'What If' hits many of the familiar Rom-Com beats, without ever feeling like we've been there before.
