Producers for the Broadway bound revival of Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical have announced that the show will now begin previews at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre beginning February 10 (three days earlier than previously scheduled), with an opening set for March 5.
The New York Times is reporting that HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical which played this summer to sold out houses at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park will play Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theater (currently home to A TALE OF TWO CITIES). On July 9th, clothing store Theory (40 Gansevoort St and Hudson) presented a 45-minute preview performance of the Public Theater's upcoming revival of Hair (the show opens July 22nd). The store also exhibited its own original Hair paraphernalia, ranging from scripts to T-shirts and programs inside the boutique. After the show the cast, writer Jim Rado, Public Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, and guests attended an exclusive after-party.
