9 to 5: The Musical opened on September 20th 2008 at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. Performances will continue through October 19, 2008.

Composer and Lyricist Scott Alan is currently back in the recording studio recording his follow up CD to his successful debut, 'Dreaming Wide Awake.'

The first preview for '9 to 5: The Musical' has been delayed for the second time and will now take place on Tuesday, Sept 9, 2008, at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. Audiences for the previously-announced previews on September 3, 4 and 5 will be moved to other performances. This change is being made to meet the technical demands of this world premiere musical. Two performances have been added: a matinee preview on Sept 14th and a 6:30 p.m. performance on the closing date of Oct.19.

The first preview for '9 to 5: The Musical' will now take place on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. Audiences for the previously-announced previews on September 3, 4 and 5 will be moved to other performances.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Ahmanson Theatre spokeswoman Nancy Hereford confirmed Tuesday that Marc Kudisch, one of the stars of the musical did, indeed, fall while making a jump from a set piece on Sunday. 'Paramedics were called and the actor was taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center and kept overnight for observation. He sustained no serious injury and is back at rehearsals', Hereford explain to reporters.

Broadway's Shoshana Bean announced her solo debut CD, Superhero, will be released on Tuesday December 2nd, 2008. Shoshana Bean is best known for her inspired performance of Elphaba in Wicked, both on Broadway and for several seasons in the musical's National Tour. Her other stage credits include being a member of the Original Broadway cast of the Tony Winning musical Hairspray, the acclaimed Off-Broadway revival of Godspell and The Actors' Fund Benefit concert of Hair.

The showbiz legend, who is currently adapting '9 to 5' for a 2009 Broadway run, will make her Providence Performing Arts Center debut on November 1
