Rock WILK, a New York City performance artist, is about to embark on a renegade national tour of his one man play, BROKE WIDE OPEN. This 'unplugged' version will be presented raw with minimal lights, sound amplification, and set to focus on the story of the show. With a goal to go across country and few resources to do so, Mr. WILK turned to friends, supporters, and strangers for his national tour fundraising efforts. After a successful, grassroots campaign to get his show on the road, Mr. WILK raised the money to make his dream come true. BROKE WIDE OPEN will be performing in Denver, Seattle, Oakland, Los Angeles and Chicago, from March 10th through March 20th, five cities in ten days. Rock WILK has not only been the actor and writer for BROKE WIDE OPEN, but he has had to step in as tour manager, booking manager, and travel agent. 'I've done everything from renting cars to booking theatres to renting motel rooms,' says Rock WILK. For tickets to all the shows and for more information about Rock WILK and BROKE WIDE OPEN, go to www.brokewideopen.com.
