The Broad Stage presents Pacifico Dance Company onSaturday, October 20 at 11:00 am with a family program titled Mexico, de Tierra d Mar. Dedicated to the performance and preservation of traditional Mexican dance, the company's joyous performances incorporate Mexican folklore and religion.  All family programs at The Broad Stage feature pre-show activities, one hour before curtain. 

NEUROSIS, a new musical with a book by Allan Rice, music by Ben Green, and lyrics by Greg Edwards, announced today that Danny Gardner (Dames at Sea) and Natalie Charle Ellis (School of Rock) will be joining the cast as "Frank" and "Samantha," respectively, beginning September 26, 2018.

Honoring the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and the beginning of the Weimar Republic (1918-2018)   International chanteuse Adrienne Haan will be featured in a Joseph Barry Production, Voluptuous Weimar-A Tribute to Berlin's Golden Age.  Haan's performance celebrates the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and the beginning of the Weimar Republic with musical selections that characterize Berlin during the 1920's and early 30's as a time of change.  The program under the musical direction of  pianist Richard Danley includes Spoliansky's, It's All a Swindle, Hollaender's Falling in Love Again, Berlin's Puttin' on the Ritz and Porter's Night and Day. Ms. Haan will perform with the Grammy-award winning 1920's Big Band, Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks. 

The Paley Center for Media today announced the schedule for PALEYFEST NY 2018, which will take place October 5-18, 2018. This two-week celebration of television brings together the cast and creative teams of today's most acclaimed and popular TV shows for screenings and interactive panel discussions taking place at The Paley Center for Media in New York City.

Following the success of its run at The Watermill and its UK and international tour last year, The Watermill Ensemble will revive TWELFTH NIGHT at Wilton's Music Hall from 12 to 22 September. Renowned for its bold, progressive and collaborative approach to Shakespeare, The Watermill Ensemble re-imagines TWELFTH NIGHT in the hedonistic 1920s, where prohibition is rife. Fused with innovative staging and actor-musicianship, the radical spirit of Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald collides with the contemporary influence of Postmodern Jukebox to create a dizzying and beautiful version of Shakespeare's perfect play.

The second production of Pride Films and Plays's 2018-19 season will be IT'S ONLY A PLAY, by Terrence McNally. McNally is arguably Broadway's most prolific gay male playwright, with 20 Broadway credits to his name, plus many other plays produced off-Broadway.

Penobscot Theatre Company is proud to present New York City singer/pianist Brad Simmons in his one-man musical performance Storytellers on Saturday, September 29 at 7 pm and Sunday, September 30 at 3 pm at the historic Bangor Opera House. In Storytellers, Mr. Simmons shares his journey from Alabama to New York City through celebrating the songwriting genius of such legendary recording artists as Paul Simon, Billy Joel, John Denver, Dolly Parton, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks and James Taylor.  

Book-It Repertory Theatre continues its 29th season with the enchanting My Ántonia by Willa Cather. Annie Lareau, who adapted the novel and starred as Ántonia in Book-It's original 2008 production, returns to direct the 2018 production.

Bicoastal indie-pop duo EXES are preparing to release their new project Before You Goon October 5th. In anticipation, today they release new single “Everything” withBillboard. About the track, frontwoman Allie McDonald comments: 'Although 'Everything' might sound like a love song, lyrically, it's actually very bittersweet and melancholic. I have a habit of going all in, of loving someone wholeheartedly, regardless of if it's working out or not. This season, the acclaimed men's vocal ensemble Cantus presents Alone Together, a program featuring a new commission by Libby Larsen exploring the struggle to build meaningful connections in a world that has never been more connected. Cantus will perform this program on tour in 2018-19 in three dozen cities throughout North America. The ensemble will also present their innovative take on an age-old Christmas tradition, called Lessons and Carols for our Time, during the Holiday season. Additionally, the ensemble will collaborate with the women's vocal ensemble Lorelei in a one-night-only performance event at the Ordway in St. Paul Minnesota to be broadcast on Minnesota Public Radio.

Husband-and-wife duo John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey make their annual fall pilgrimage to Cafe Carlyle with an all-new show, American Stories, November 6-17. The New York Times recently described John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey as "the supreme nightclub act of our time." A world-renowned guitarist and singer, John Pizzarelli has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years and has established himself as one of the prime contemporary interpreters of the Great American Songbook. Jessica Molaskey is a veteran of a dozen Broadway shows including the revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Sunday in the Park with George, which was nominated for nine Tony Awards. TIME has raved, "Sophisticated, jazzy and engaging, the Astaire-Rodgers of the cabaret world are at the top of their game."

Eight-time GRAMMY® winner Dolly Parton will be honored at the 2019 MusiCares® Person of the Year tribute on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, it was announced today by Neil Portnow, President/CEO of MusiCares and the Recording Academy. Proceeds from the 29th annual benefit gala will provide essential support for MusiCares (www.musicares.org), a charity founded by the Recording Academy that ensures music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical, and personal need. The tribute will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center two nights prior to the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards®.
