THE SOWER Comes to The Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre What was it that led Vincent van Gogh to sever his left ear and give it to a prostitute? The Sower, by California native Schuyler Mastain, is a ninety minute, one-act drama led by an ensemble of five Los Angeles based actors that explores a powerful moment in the life of one of our most celebrated artists. The Sower has six performances between August 25 - September 9, Saturday and Sunday nights, 7pm showtime at the Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre - near the Larchmont Shopping district - 5636 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90038.

It's Christmas morning, 1888, and a young artist named Vincent wakes in a hospital bed somewhere in the south of France to find his left ear missing. As the day matures and he is tended to by his Nurse and Doctor, Vincent begins to remember what it was the drove him to commit such a heinous act of self-mutilation. When his brother, Theo, and fellow artist, Paul Gauguin, arrive to determine the condition of the madman, he is confronted with a cold, hard reality that he had rather not unearth.

Starring: Cam Deaver as Theo, Isaak Gracia as Gauguin, Nicholas S. McDonald as Doctor Rey, Kayla Eva as the Nurse, and Schuyler Scott Mastain as Vincent, The Sower is presented by "The Bear's Pursuit", an LA based theatre group. Mature subject matter.
