Raices Theatre Company, Western New York's premier Latinx theater production company, will host playwright Marco Antonio Rodriguez on Friday, November 30th. Rodriguez will be attending the opening night of Raices' production of his play Barcelo on the Rocks. This marks the second time that Barcelo On The Rocks has received a fully staged production and the first time that the play has been produced in the English language. The play was first produced in 2014 by Repertorio Español and the original run was extended due to popular demand. Barcelo on the Rocks has been recognized as the winner of the MetLife Nuestras Voces playwriting competition and Rodriguez received an award for outstanding playwriting from the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA) for the play.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present Tonya Pinkins and Brad Simmons in a new holiday show 'Naughty & Nice' on Sunday, December 16 at 9:30 PM. The Tony, Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning actress Tony Pinkins is known to theater, film, and television audiences everywhere, and perfectly pairs with Broadway music director and concert artist Brad Simmons. Together they bring a provocative and eclectic evening of music to The Green Room 42, just in time for the holidays.

On Today November 23rd at 8pm, Silence is excited to present 'Near East', a celebrated Toronto world music ensemble which will captivate the audience with their unique blend of music combined from varied geographic traditions. The trio is comprised of Ernie Tollar (sax / bansuri / ney), Demetri Petsalakis (oud / guitar) and Ravi Naimpally (tabla). From Greek, Middle Eastern and East Indian musical inspiration, Near East harvests a fresh sound; familiar yet surprising. 

Up In Arms, in association with Pleasance and Ellie Keel, today announce the full cast for the world premiere of Annie Jenkins' In Lipstick. Alice Hamilton directs James Doherty (Dennis), Caroline Faber (Maud), and Alice Sykes (Cynthia). This marks the first collaboration of James Doherty and Alice Hamilton since their acclaimed multi-award-nominated work on Barney Norris' Eventide. In Lipstick opens at Pleasance, Islington on 11 January, with previews from 9 January, and runs until 26 January.

Billy Postlethwaite will return to The Watermill Theatre to play the lead role in Shakespeare's MACBETH it is announced today. Postlethwaite's credits include Stanhope in Journey's End for The Watermill, The Madness of King George (Nottingham Playhouse), Chernobyl (HBO/Sky) and Game Of Thrones (HBO).

Live from Here with Chris Thile confirms the guest lineup for its Town Hall residency in New York, throughout December as well as their January 2019 performance in Durham, NC and Chicago, IL. GRAMMY® winners Norah Jones, P!nk, Mark  Ronson, and Chris Stapleton; GRAMMY nominees Leon Bridges and Lauren Daigle; and singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes will perform at the 2019 MusiCares® Person of the Year tribute concert honoring Dolly Parton on Feb. 8. It wasn't the Country Music Awards or Grammy Awards at the new Birdland Theater last night but it sure seemed like it. An overflow audience for the Victoria Shaw concert got a surprise as Victoria called up two of her friends who were in the audience……..Desmond Child, and then Kristin Chenoweth each sang a number. Even Jim Caruso who has hosted every famous person on the planet whipped out his cell phone camera for this one.
