Katrina Lenk, Richard Topol, Lenny Wolpe and More to Star in Yale Rep's INDECENT World Premiere

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2015-16 season with the world premiere of INDECENT, a new play with music, written by Paula Vogel, created by Paula Vogel and Rebecca Taichman, and directed by Rebecca Taichman, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), October 2-24. Opening Night is Thursday, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.

Luna Stage to Stage East Coast Premiere of THE TALL GIRLS

Luna Stage presents the East Coast premiere of The Tall Girls by Meg Miroshnik.  The Tall Girls opens to previews on Thursday October 8th, 2015 and runs Thursdays through Sundays through November 1st. Opening night is Saturday October 10th, 2015.  Select performances are followed by Talkbacks with the Creative Team. Tickets range from $27-$37 dollars.  Group sales available. $10 Student Rush tickets available one half-hour before curtain. Haydn Gwynne, Stephen Bogardus, Lauren Molina and More Lead A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, Beginning Tonight at Huntington

The Huntington Theatre Company opens its 2015-2016 season with the Tony Award-winning musical A Little Night Music, Stephen Sondheim's most romantic and popular work, led by Tony and Olivier nominee Haydn Gwynne, as well as Broadway's Stephen Bogardus and Lauren Molina. Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois (after all the terrible things I do; Smart People; Rapture, Blister, Burn; and Becky Shaw) will direct. Performances will run tonight, September 11, through October 11, 2015 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre.

Bill Camp, Jim Norton, Tavi Gevinson and More Join Broadway's THE CRUCIBLE; Full Cast, Theater Set!

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Bill Camp (as Reverend John Hale), Jim Norton (as Giles Corey), Tavi Gevinson (as Mary Warren), and Jason Butler Harner (as Reverend Samuel Parris) are among those who will join previously announced stars Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth).

Philadelphia Theatre Company to Open New Season with DISGRACED

Ayad Akhtar's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Disgraced kicks off Philadelphia Theatre Company's 2015-2016 season, October 9 - November 8 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets).  Directed by Mary B. Robinson, the ensemble cast features Anthony Mustafa Adair, Ben Graney, Aime Donna Kelly, Monette Magrath and Pej Vahdat.

Primrose Productions to Present KISS ME OR CUT OFF MY HEAD, 8/20-9/5

Primrose Productions presents a new adaptation of the Medusa myth by Brooke M. Haney, from the poetry of Sheryl St. Germain, and directed by Tracy Bersley (choreographer for On the Levee at Lincoln Center, LCT3). Theatre intersects with visual art and poetry in this haunting and galvanizing perspective of the Medusa myth. Kiss Me or Cut Off My Head will play a three week limited engagement at the Soho Photo Gallery (15 White Street, New York, NY 10013). Performances begin Thursday, August 20th and continue through Today, September 5th, 2015 . Opening Night is Thursday, August 20th at 7:30 pm. Undermain Theatre to Premiere THE DROLL as 32nd Season Opener This Fall

To open its 32nd season the Undermain Theatre is thrilled to bring the World Premiere of Meg Miroshnik's THE DROLL to their home in Deep Ellum at 3200 Main Street. The premiere will open on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 - curtain time 8:15 with the playwright in attendance. Preview performances will be on Sep. 23rd, 24th and 25th. The production will run through October 17th.

SEASCAPE WITH SHARKS AND DANCER Opens Tonight at 13th Street Rep

Seascape with Sharks and Dancer by Don Nigro will open at 13th Street Repertory (50 West 13th Street) tonight, September 2nd, and continue to play on September 3rd, 10th and 11th. Directed by Paul Purvine, the cast features Leila McCann and Zachery Gamble.

Cal Shakes to Close 41st Main Stage Season with KING LEAR

California Shakespeare Theater concludes its 2015 Main Stage season with King Lear, Shakespeare's most brilliant and profound tragedy, helmed by nationally-acclaimed director Amanda Dehnert, and featuring two-time Tony nominee and film star Anthony Heald (Silence of the Lambs, Broadway's The Elephant Man with Bradley Cooper) in the title role. King Lear plays at the BART-accessible Bruns Amphitheater from September 16 through October 11.

Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey to Stage Bill Cain's EQUIVOCATION

Next up on the Main Stage, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will present the New Jersey premiere of Bill Cain's Equivocation. When the Bard and his troupe of players receive a royal commission to dramatize the events surrounding the infamous Gunpowder Plot, the artist must confront the demons of his past, his present, and his obligations to the truth and artistic integrity. Equivocation was described in Variety as "one of the most bracingly intelligent, sizzlingly theatrical American plays in a decade."

WorkShop Theater to Stage Ken Jaworowski's BELIEVERS This Fall

In an ideal world, maturity nurtures faith and confidence to withstand life's greatest tests. Or does it? BELIEVERS by Ken Jaworowski, a haunting drama, tests that assumption with the generational tale of a couple who marry in a state of faith but find their belief undone twenty years later when life tests them more severely than people ought to be. WorkShop Theater, 312 West 36th Street, will present the play's world premiere run September 25 to October 17, directed by Alex Dmitriev.
