The Off-Broadway premiere of Elda Cusick's new play, Austin, will open tonight, August 4th, at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues). Ed Setrakian directs a cast that stars Thomas G. Waites ('OZ'), James McCaffrey ('Rescue Me'), Rochelle Bostrom, AJ Cedeño, and Michaela Waites. Like a runaway train, this dark comedy about two brothers and their mutual resentment takes audiences on a thrill ride into the dark side of the human psyche, with laughs and unexpected moments of revelation along the way. In its world premiere, the San Francisco Chronicle noted that True West is "clear, funny, naturalistic. It's also opaque, terrifying, surrealistic. At its final Board of Trustees meeting of the season, McCarter Theatre Center welcomed Leslie Vought Kuenne as its new President. A Princeton resident and engaged community activist, Kuenne has been a McCarter Trustee since the 2012-2013 season and assumed her new duties as of July, 2016.
