Now in its record breaking 16th year on the road, the show is coming to the Kennedy Center for 4 weeks starting May 7th.

Prospect Theater Company's production of The Hello Girls will play Washington, DC for one night only on Tuesday, May 7th at 7:30pm in the Terrace Theater at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

PJ Morton and MAJOR. MC Lyte—known for hits like “First Began,” “Say So,” “Alright,” “Good Morning,” “Why I Love You,” and “Joy In The Battle”—will host a one-night-only performance honoring mothers and mother figures, bringing an unforgettable fusion of rhythm & blues, soul, and gospel to the nation's culture center.

The Kennedy Center has announced additional programming to its 2023–2024 Comedy at the Kennedy Center season, a signature program focused on elevating comedy as an art form and uniting the community together through laughter.

Kennedy Center events and performances have been announced for the months of May – June 2022.

Lauren Ferebee's new play Goods, a sci-fi adventure about two intergalactic trash collectors receiving its virtual world premiere May 5-30, 2021 via Chicago's Artemisia Theatre, has won the 2021 Planet Earth Arts Playwriting Award from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

Telluride Mountainfilm has announced that on May 25th, 2018 it will host the world premiere of Return to Mount Kennedy – an 80-minute documentary film that follows the sons of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and mountaineering icon Jim Whittaker as they embark on an expedition fifty years after their fathers' historic first ascent of the remote mountain.  Directed by Eric Becker, this compelling, intimate story artfully weaves past and present into a narrative that spans generations.

In 2016, I saw 120+ productions, the majority of which were in the DC Metro Area. The 2016 calendar year offered a slew of memorable theatergoing experiences, but some stand out among the others. As I look forward to what's in store theatrically in 2017, I take a look back at 2016.

Marymount Manhattan College (MMC), a private liberal arts college on Manhattan's Upper East Side, is pleased to welcome author Tina Santi Flaherty on Sunday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. Celebrating the commemorative edition of her book, What Jackie Taught Us, Mrs. Flaherty, a neighbor of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, will discuss “Five Things You May Not Know About Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.”

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces its 13th New Visions/New Voices workshop from May 16 to May 18, 2014. A biennial showcase dedicated to developing new plays and musicals written for young people and their families, New Visions/New Voices 2014 will present eight new works including six selected from theater companies based in Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; Bethesda, MD; Atlanta, GA; Cork, Ireland; and Belfast, Northern Ireland; one musical commissioned by the Kennedy Center; and one play from Vincennes, France as part of the showcase'sTranslation Project. Additionally, New Visions/New Voices 2014 will again host international playwright observers. While each play has a specific intended age range, over the course of the showcase, attendees will experience work geared towards young people from infancy through high school-the broadest range in New Visions/New Voices history.

Fresh from his main stage performance at Ultra Music Festival, producer, DJ and rapper/singerBORGORE is taking over the global bass movement in 2013 with the launch of his upcoming spring tour and new music releases set to debut later this year. Launching early May, the tour takesBORGORE across numerous major clubs and venues in North America, as well as high-profile performances at this year's premier music festivals including Kanrocksas, Electric Daisy Carnival Chicago (where he will perform on the main stage and headline the bass stage), Orion Music + More,Free Press Summer Festival, Boonstock Music & Arts Festival and more to be announced soon. The tour will feature support from producer Carnage, dubstep/trap/bass rising act Kennedy Jones and trap/bass producer Ookay on alternating dates.

The last production of the American Repertory Theater of WNY 2011-12 season features the annual Local Playwrights One-Act Showcase, on May 24 to June 2 at Buffalo East, 1410 Main Street, Buffalo. The showcase has been a highlight of ART's programming for a majority of this young theater's history and reflects the creative side of ART's mission to support a new generation of American playwrights and to utilize unknown or unproven talent.
