Following its hugely successful 2019 West End run and national tour, Nigel Slater's Toast returns to the Lawrence Batley Theatre as a brand-new online play for audiences to enjoy from the comfort of their own home.

It's not quite a radio play a?' not quite a film - but I think we've created something in The Understudy that will engage our audience as much as we can from the safety of our own homes.

The Understudy is a brand new radio play that will be broadcast in two parts on Wednesday 20th May and Wednesday 27th May to raise funds for the theatre industry which is facing a devastating impact from the health crisis.

This spring, the acclaimed Watermill Ensemble presents a bold, innovative all-female production of Shakespeare's timeless tragedy, Hamlet. Underscored with live music, played by the cast, The Watermill's resident company applying their collaborative style to Shakespeare's most enduring play.

Change can be tricky - not least when you're a teenage girl going through puberty, loss, and friendship trouble. Written by Tamsin Daisy Rees, directed by Emily Collins, and produced by Holly Mitchell, Fledglings is a touching tale of birds, best friendships and blossoming young women.
