Goodspeed to Premiere BAND GEEKS!, RADIO GIRL et al. in 2010

Goodspeed Musicals, the only two-time Tony Award winning theatre in the country, has announced that they will produce three new musicals at The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn. Kicking off the season is Band Geeks!, the homegrown smash hit from Goodspeed's 2009 Festival of New Artists. This feel-good musical comedy will run from May 13 through June 6. The darling Radio Girl, based on the much loved classic Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, will charm audiences July 29 through August 22. The third new musical, which will be announced soon, is scheduled to run October 21 through November 14.

Goodspeed Musicals is holding local Equity auditions for its 2010 season, on Sunday, January 31, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in East Haddam, Conn. Goodspeed is seeking adult male and female actors for all productions. In addition, girls ages 10-14 and boys ages 8-10 are needed for Annie Get Your Gun. Non-union performers will be seen as appointments permit.

Goodspeed Musicals, under the leadership of Michael P. Price, is thrilled to announce the 2010 musical season at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. The 47th season includes three fantastic musicals that are sure to delight theatregoers: the fun and frolicking Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun will run from April 16 - June 27; the second production, Carnival! featuring such memorable classics as "Love Makes the World Go 'Round," will run from July 9 - September 18; and the Tony Award-winning How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying will run from September 24 - November 28.

Goodspeed Musicals, the nation's only two-time Tony Award winning theatre, announced today that it will build 17 new homes to be used for New Actor Housing on the Goodspeed Campus in East Haddam, Conn. The New Actor Housing initiative represents the largest capital project in Goodspeed history. Construction is set to begin this Fall with a target completion date of Fall 2010. A project of this magnitude is certain to have an immediate and positive economic impact in East Haddam as well as throughout the state of Connecticut.
