Laura Heywood (@BroadwayGirlNYC) has confirmed to BroadwayWorld that at the Bright Star concert tonight, music supervisor Peter Asher confirmed that the production will tour in 2018, beginning in Salt Lake City. No further details on dates or casting have yet been announced.
Broadway Method Academy is hosting the second annual benefit concert 'Broadway Sings". Broadway Method Academy's Executive Director, Connor Deane says the evening will be filled with top-notch talent from both BMA and New York, including some of Broadway's top performers. Deane says, "The fundraiser's support will be dedicated to empowering students and igniting possibilities through scholarship opportunities and so much more. Your support helps attract the best and brightest talent, in turn, enriching our community and fueling the future of the arts!"

New York City Center today announced additional casting for the concert performances of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Sunday in the Park with George, October 24 through 26.
Broadway's Max Chernin (Bright Star), Kaitlyn Davidson (Cinderella, Nice Work If You Can Get It) and F. Michael Haynie (Wicked), as well as Jed Resnick (Avenue Q)* will headline the The Mik e Pettry Project , the second in the Singers Forum/EMGCollective's collaborative songbook series on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, October 4 & 5, at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The series brings together Broadway performers and members of the SF/AEA Scholarship Program to spotlight work of prominent new composers. Following the success of The Patrick Dwyer Project, the series now features composer/lyricist Mike Pettry (The Light Princess, Things I Left on Long Island) whose work has been produced at A.R.T., South Coast Rep, The New Victory Theatre, etc. Pettry's current projects include partnering with composer Eli Bolin as he provides the lyrics for The Last Song of Eddie Scourge, a hard-rock adaptation of the classic A Christmas Carol.
At one point during WASTE OF SPACE, Chris Dwan began singing the lyric 'We're connected in our own sort of universe' again and again. That line came from an original track, 'All I Know,' co-written with Ross Baum. Making his New York City solo concert debut at Feinstein's/54 Below on September 6, Dwan did create his own sort of the universe, but the connections remained a bit unclear.

With standout performances both on and off Broadway, Chris Dwan (Finding Neverland, The Old Boy, Harmony) makes his Feinstein's/54 Below and New York City solo concert debut. Conceived by Chris Dwan and Will Blum, the concert event is a cerebral exploration of self discovery and the power of the imagination through the eyes of a boy on a journey beyond the cosmos. Will Van Dyke (Kinky Boots, RENT) music directs with special guests Hannah Corneau (Evita, Daddy Long Legs, Harmony) and Angela Travino (From Here to Eternity, South Pacific). The evening will include a wide range of musical genres including original material by Chris Dwan and Ross Baum and music from Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman's Harmony as well as the Off-Broadway musical Peter & I, with a highly anticipated performance by RANGE a cappella (Hamilton [in 7 minutes], Nickelodeon, Kelly Clarkson's Piece by Piece tour). Additional special guests include Tony Award nominee Tony Yazbeck (On The Town, Finding Neverland, Gypsy) Will Blum (School of Rock, The Book of Mormon) Will Taylor (BENT, A Chorus Line) and Max Chernin (Bright Star, Brooklynite).
