Drury Lane Theatre announces it will open its 2017-2018 season with Chicago, the first production of the show to be produced in the city of Chicago in more than three decades. Jeff Award Winning Artistic Director, William Osetek, will direct the iconic musical, based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and the script adaptation by David Thompson. Chicago runs March 30 - June 4, 2017 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.

When I first heard that a Catholic college, Saint Mary's College to be exact, was putting on the musical Chicago, I was skeptical. Knowing that Chicago is quite the risque musical with all types of salacious subject matter, I wasn't quite sure how they were going to pull it off. Well, let me be blunt, Saint Mary's did not look very Catholic this past Saturday night when I saw the second showing of the musical.

Palo Alto Players held its third annual Season Announcement party on January 31, unveiling the shows for its 2015-16 season - as well as a new logo! Managing Director Diana Lynn Wiley and Artistic Director Patrick Klein worked with Joey McDaniel to create the new public face of Palo Alto Players. "Joey is a great friend of Palo Alto Players," said Wiley. "Audience members would recognize him from his role as Igor in last season's Young Frankenstein, and he's also playing Uncle Fester in our upcoming production of The Addams Family. We're happy to share another dimension of his wonderful artistry, and are so excited to be able to keep our logo redesign in the family."
