Rifco Artistic Director Pravesh Kumar today announces the UK tour of the world premiere Miss Meena & the Masala Queens, written by Harvey Virdi.

Join Antony Costa and Lola Saunders on a trip through the music and magic of the early sixties with SAVE THE LAST DANCE FOR ME. Following the story of two teenage girls going on holiday without their parents for the very first time, this spectacular show will transport you back to music's golden era. 

Save The Last Dance For Me is a musical written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, with hits from Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, produced and directed by Bill Kenwright. The plot follows two sisters, Jennifer and Marie, on their first caravan holiday away from their parents. Set in the 60s the girls discover an American Air Force base near their holiday destination, Lowestoft. The sisters are invited to the airbase club to dance and meet the lively crew. The girls are quickly thrown into a whirlwind of romance, live music and dancing, energetically choreographed by the Olivier Award-winning associate director Bill Deamer.

Final casting has been announced for the UK tour of Save the Last Dance for Me. Lola Saunders, a finalist on The X Factor 2014, will make her theatrical debut in the role of Jennifer starring alongside previously announced Antony Costa as Milton, with Wayne Robinson as Curtis and Elizabeth Carter returning to the role of Marie.

Ria Parry will direct Patti Love in the title role of Rebecca Lenkiewicz's Jane Wenham: The Witch of Walkern. The world premiere production, from Out of Joint, Watford Palace Theatre and Arcola Theatre in association with Eastern Angles, will tour the UK from September 2015 to January 2016.

SHOWCASING the greatest hit songs of the 1960s, Dreamboats And Miniskirts comes to The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, next month (July). 

This summer, DREAMBOATS AND MINISKIRTS comes to the King's Theatre Glasgow to showcase the greatest hit songs of the 60s.

Dreamboats and Petticoats has done the UK tour rounds on several occasions as well as having a very successful West End run. There has also been a massive franchise of CDs that have been released which have acted as another good marketing tool. Because of all this, Bill Kenwright along with his creative team have put a sequel on the road entitled Dreamboats and Miniskirts.
