According to Deadline.com Chord Overstreet has been cast as a new member of New Directions on Glee.

As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, GLEE will feature a Britney Spears tribute episode in its second season, premiering September 21, 2010 on FOX. Heather Morris, who plays 'Brittany' on the show, will be playing Britney Spears in a dream sequence with Ms. Spears herself, it is believed. Zaptoit.com has revealed of the episode that 'New Directions' pleas for Britney tunes fall on deaf ears with Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison), so when they pay respective visits to the dentist (John Stamos), anesthesia-induced fantasies bring out the musical numbers and the all-but-official Britney cameo.' GLEE creator Ryan Murphy recently hinted to Access Hollywood that this episode may not be Spear's last. The 2010 Emmy Awards have released the names of additional actors who will present at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Jon Hamm and Jim Parsons, as well as Eva Longoria-Parker and Blair Underwood have been added to the list of presenters for the 2010 Emmys.

The 2010 Emmy Awards have released a list of actors who are set to present at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, August 29 at 8pm. The event will take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and will be aired live on NBC.

'Live From Lincoln Center' will present the television premiere of Lincoln Center Theater's Tony® Award-winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC tonight, August 18, at 8:00 p.m. on PBS, live from the Vivian Beaumont Theater. Lincoln Center Theater's new production of the musical classic won seven Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival as well as the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Award for Best Musical Revival. SOUTH PACIFIC, directed by Bartlett Sher, began performances Saturday, March 1, 2008 and opened Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. The show will end its record breaking run on Sunday, August 22, 2010, making it the longest running Broadway revival of a Rodgers & Hammerstein musical.

With the second season's September 21 premiere quickly approaching, Fox is kicking GLEE advertising into high gear with its new slushee-based ad campaign. The new poster, which is featured below, uses an icon from season one to empower the New Directions members.

GLEE star Mark Salling, who plays Puck on the hit show, will be releasing his new solo album, 'Pipe Dreams,' on October 12 under the banner of his own label, Pipe Dreams Records. The album, reports USMagazine, will have a 'classic rock 'n' roll, alternative music and a '60s folk-beat era sound.' Salling is said to be writing performing and producing each track on the disc. The first single, 'Higher Power,' was released on August 10.

Why the delay, as nominees were announced on July 8? An oversight, according to O'Neil.

GLEE creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy may be bringing his hit television musical comedy to the Great White Way, according to a report by The New York Times. As GLEE's success continues to grow, Murphy has continued to reach out and tackle new projects. His film adaptation of 'Eat Pray Love' with Julia Roberts hits theatres this month, and his name has recently been attached as a possible director for the upcoming WICKED film adaptation. Sony's co-chairwoman Amy Pascal is quoted as saying, 'I'll do anything Ryan wants.' There is no word on a possible timeline for a Broadway production of GLEE.
