Porchlight Music Theatre to Present DOUBLE TROUBLE, 8/31-10/6

Porchlight Music Theatre is proud to present the Chicago premiere of Double Trouble, book, music and lyrics by brothers Bob Waltonand Jim Walton, direction and choreography by Matthew Crowle, music direction by Linda Madonia and starring brothers Adrian Aguilar andAlexander Aguilar, August 31 - October 6, at Stage 773, 1225 West Belmont Ave. Previews are Saturday, Aug. 31 at 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1 at 2 and 6 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 2 at 7:30 p.m. Opening/Press Night is Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 7:30 p.m. The regular schedule is Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There is a special weekday group matinee: Thursday, Oct. 3 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $30 for previews and $39 for all other performances. Subscriptions to the entire 19th Season are available at porchlightmusictheatre.org or by phone at 773-777-9884. Groups of ten or more may receive discounts on tickets purchased via the Groups Sales office at 773.777.9884. Single tickets for Double Trouble go on sale July 1 at 10 a.m. and may be purchased at stage773.com or by phone at773.327.5252.

Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, makes a splash with the effervescent musical comedy SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, opening November 30 and running through January 13, 2013. SINGIN' IN THE RAIN features one of the largest all-star casts ever assembled on the Drury Lane stage, led by Tony Yazbeck. Yazbeck's Broadway creditsinclude starring as "Billy Flynn" in the long running revival of CHICAGO, "Phil Davis" in Irving Berlin's White Christmas, "Tulsa" in the recent revival of Gypsy starring Patti LuPone (for which he earned an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination), "Al" in A Chorus Line, Never Gonna Dance, Oklahoma! and Gypsy with Tyne Daly. His Off-Broadway credits include the City Center Encores! productions of On The Town, Gypsy, The Apple Tree, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and Pardon My English, as well as the York Theatre production of Fanny Hill.

Tony Yazbeck Replaces Sean Palmer in Drury Lane Theatre's SINGIN' IN THE RAIN

Kyle DeSantis, Executive Producer of Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane, announced today that Broadway actor Tony Yazbeck will take over the role of "Don Lockwood" in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, replacing Sean Palmer who suffered an injury. The production, which is currently in previews, will now have its press opening on Friday, Nov. 30 at 8:30pm. Yazbeck will go into the production on Wednesday, November 21.
