The Boiler Room Theatre (BRT), Williamson County's resident professional theatre company, continues its 10th season with Neil Simon's comedy Brighton Beach Memoirs opening May 7, 2010 at the theatre, located in the historic Factory at Franklin (230 Franklin Rd., Building Six, Franklin) for a run through May 29, 2010.

NBC has picked up three freshman alternative series as 'The Marriage Ref,' 'Minute to Win It' and 'Who Do You Think You Are?' are renewed for the 2010-11 season. The announcement was made today by Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios.

Ann Sanders -- who enjoyed a long run as Christmas Eve in AVENUE Q during its record-breaking six-year run on Broadway -- returns to the Tony Award-winning musical to resume the role of the lovable, no-nonsense Japanese therapist starting Monday, April 5 at New World Stages (340 W. 50 St.) in Manhattan.

Up next for The New Group is the new musical The Kid, beginning performances on Friday, April 16. Official Opening Night is set for Monday, May 10. This marks the final production in The New Group's current 2009-2010 season, which featured Kenneth Lonergan's The Starry Messenger and most recently, the hit revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, directed by Ethan Hawke.

Marcia Milgrom Dodge, whose critically acclaimed production of 'Ragtime' transferred from the Kennedy Center to Broadway last fall and is nominated for six Helen Hayes Awards, will direct and choreograph the Reprise Theatre Company production of the 1962 Pulitzer Prize winner 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.'

Last Night, March 7, stars from all over the world came out for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards Ceremony at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood California. Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced that due to unforeseen conflicts with Roger Rees' schedule, The Old Globe's upcoming production of What You Will has been replaced with Golda's Balcony starring four-time Tony Award nominee Tovah Feldshuh. Written by William Gibson and supervised by Scott Schwartz, Golda's Balcony earned Feldshuh a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress, and is the longest running one-woman show in Broadway history. Golda's Balcony will run in the Old Globe Theatre April 28 - May 30.

CALVIN BERGER, a musical retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac, will open tonight at the George Street Playhouse in New Jersey. The show will feature Broadway star Noah Weisberg as Calvin, alongside David Hull, Krystal Joy Brown and Dana Steingold. Previews for the production began February 10th.
