Hampstead Theatre brings the talents of an exciting young cast to Sunny Afternoon, the story of the early life of Ray Davies and the rise to stardom of The Kinks. Featuring some of The Kinks' best loved songs, including You Really Got Me, Waterloo Sunset and Lola, and with choreographer Adam Cooper joining the creative team, Sunny Afternoon marks the 50th Anniversary year of the band's debut release.
Following its recent sell-out season in London's West End, Stage Entertainment UK is delighted to announce that the critically acclaimed Chichester Festival Theatre production of the musical Singin' In The Rain will tour the UK and Ireland later this year. Opening at Manchester Opera House on Wednesday 13 November 2013 (with previews from Saturday 9 November), the show will play a Christmas and New Year season in Cardiff before visiting cities across the country.

Although it is Dickens' most popular novel and having previously had many incarnations, including as a film, a television drama and even a stage musical, this will be the first time there has ever been a production of GREAT EXPECTATIONS as a full-scale stage play in either the West End or on Broadway. The West End premiere of GREAT EXPECTATIONS will star Jack Ellis as Jaggers, Chris Ellison as Magwitch and Paula Wilcox as Miss Havisham. Robert Powell, who plays studio boss RF Simpson, joined original cast members Adam Cooper (Don Lockwood), Daniel Crossley (Cosmo Brown), Scarlett Strallen (Olivier nominated as Kathy Selden), Katherine Kingsley (Olivier nominated as Lina Lamont) and Sandra Dickinson (Dora Bailey & Miss Dinsmore) in Jonathan Church's Chichester Festival Theatre production. Film and television star Robert Powell will join the cast of Singin' in the Rain from 1 October 2012, as the five star West End production announces the release of over 300,000 new tickets, taking bookings at the Palace Theatre to 1 September 2013. The news coincides with the 60th anniversary of the release of the iconic 1952 MGM film version starring Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor and Debbie Reynolds. The Original London Cast Recording of this production of Singin' in the Rain was also recently released by First Night Records, reaching number one on the soundtrack chart during its first month on sale.
