Veteran star of stage and screen Richard Kind, Tony Award winner Adriane Lenox (Doubt) will join Edie Falco, a multiple Emmy Award winner for her leading roles in The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie, and Grant Shaud, well known to many as Miles on Murphy Brown, have signed on for George Street Playhouse's special reading of Matt Hoverman's new play, THRILLSVILLE.

Developed over the last year with Music Director and 2015-2016 Dramatists Guild Fellow Brandon James Gwinn, the show focuses on the detective work of one woman's determination to verify the believed genetic history of her family.  Featuring the music of Bonnie Raitt, Rhianna, AC/DC, Paloma Faith, beloved show tunes and standards.

The Secret Theatre and Artistic Director Richard Mazda are proud to announce that 19 solo shows have been chosen for the FLYING SOLO 3 festival at the Secret Theatre, the 3rd Festival of one-person shows at the theatre.

Proceeds of the one-night-only performance will benefit George Street Playhouse.

Written by and starring Felicity Seidel, the solo show is a comedic story of how a young girl got swept up into a crazy drug and sex-fueled world alongside her older boyfriend, Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead.

85 North Productions in association with The New York International Fringe Festival is thrilled to present Anthony Sneed's comedic solo show The Buffalo. The Buffalo was originally developed in Matt Hoverman's Go-Solo Workshop. In January, a workshop production was presented at UNDER St. Marks. Tom Delgado directs.

A double-bill Equity Approved Showcase of Stacey Sargeant's Buh Wha' Trouble is Dis? and Lizabeth Sipes' Bug Bite will be presented on Monday, June 15th at 8:30pm and Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30pm at The Treehouse Theatre (154 W 29th Street).

'Do This One Thing for Me,' Jane Elias's poignant solo play of self-discovery through her relationship with her father, a Holocaust survivor, will be reprised in a special four-week engagement at The TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, beginning tonight, April 9. Written and performed by Elias, with direction by Tracy Bersley, 'Do This One Thing for Me' dramatizes the delicate balance between family legacy and a quest for independence that the children of survivors must often strike.

'I was at the Police Reunion Concert at Madison Square Garden in 2008 and the energy was through the roof,' says vocalist/actress/writer Rosemary Loar at the start of her new show, STING-chronicity, at the Metropolitan Room. 'We were 18,000 strong, each of us challenging ownership of this man's music.' Loar feels special rapport with the oeuvre of Sting (Gordon Sumner, who was Police's lead singer and principal songwriter from 1977-1986, before he launched an incredibly successful solo career) as represented by her earlier show and CD, the celebratory Sting, Stang, Stung (see video of the 2010 show, below). 'We're onto the same zeitgeist,' Loar recently revealed in an interview. 'We're both Catholics and some of his writing is about obsession, guilt and penance.'

STING*chronicity offers an unexpected combination of monologues with a stunning variety of musical arrangements of the music of brilliant contemporary songwriter, Sting. The show is "set" in Madison Square Garden on the occasion of the final reunion concert of the iconic band, The Police, which was headed by Sting. STING*chronicity surveys the diverse audience, and their very varied interpretations of his music as the words of his songs are filtered by their unique lives and experiences. The Fifth Annual United Solo Theatre Festival presents the World Premiere of Baba, written and performed by Alex Mahgoub at Theatre Row Studio Theatre. After the first performance on October 1st sold-out, a second show was added tonight, October 8th. Armando Merlo, who won a FringeNYC Solo Show Excellence Award in 2012 for his solo show, Salamander Starts Over, directs.
