Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will stage Monty Python's Spamalot, the Tony Award winning musical comedy with book and lyrics by Eric Idle, music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle as the final show of its 2015-2016 season. ?Award winning singer/ dancer/choreographer Paula Abdul has been named the honoree for the Professional Dancers Society's (PDS) annual Gypsy Awards Luncheon, it was announced by PDS President, Mitzi Gaynor and PDS Board Chairman, Joni Berry. Ms. Abdul will be honored on Sunday, April 24th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel (9876 Wilshire Blvd.) and famed choreographers Carl Jablonski and Kevin Carlisle will receive PDS Choreography Awards, for their extraordinary contribution to dance. In a special tribute, legendary entertainer Dick Van Dyke will receive The Dance Legacy Award.
Bob Woodruff, renowned ABC News television journalist, will receive the NAB Distinguished Service Award (DSA) during the 2016 NAB Show in Las Vegas. Woodruff will accept the award at the NAB Show Opening, sponsored by Blackmagic Design, on Monday, April 18.

Happy Birthday Carol Channing! She is the recipient of three Tony Awards (including one for lifetime achievement), a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination. Channing is best remembered for originating, on Broadway, the musical-comedy roles of bombshell Lorelei Lee in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and matchmaking widow Dolly Gallagher Levi in Hello, Dolly! She also appeared in two New York revivals of Hello, Dolly!, and toured with it extensively throughout the United States. Channing also appeared in a number of movies, The First Traveling Sales Lady (1956) with Ginger Rogers, the cult film Skidoo and Thoroughly Modern Millie, opposite Julie Andrews and Mary Tyler Moore.
