Rita Gardner, Original Louisa joins 'They Were You' concert, a benefit for Artist's Crossing, and $25 Tickets offered

A host of Broadway stars will perform in an evening celebrating three generations of working artists entitled 'They Were You' to support the innovative theatre company and school, THE ARTIST'S CROSSING at 7pm on Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 at Barrow Street Theatre, 27 Barrow Street, New York, NY 10014.

A spokeswoman for Patti LuPone has announced that due to illness, the actress will no longer be able to perform tonight in 'Ladies Who Sing Sondheim'. According to reports Laura Benanti has also pulled out of the event due to illness also, Raul Esparza, Barbara Walsh and Donna McKechnie have jumped aboard as part of the evenings entertainment.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, has announced that the company will host a series of audience talkbacks for its current production of the world premiere musical Crossing Brooklyn with music by Jenny Giering and book and lyrics by Laura Harrington, and directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III.

In November, Kristin Huffman made her Broadway debut as Sarah (flute, piccolo and sax) in John Doyle's production of Company. The actress, with a new series of tales that go inside the making of Company from an actor's perspective, starting at the Cincinnati Playhouse and on to New York, continues her stories about a 15-year career that has led her to the door of the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.
