Acclaimed Hanoch Levin Repertory To Conclude Limited Run Thursday

HANOCH LEVIN SQUARED, New Yiddish Rep's historic repertory engagement of two short plays by Israel's leading playwright, Hanoch Levin, will conclude its unanimously acclaimed run this Thursday, March 29th. New Yiddish Rep will present a historic repertory engagement of two plays by Israel's leading playwright, Hanoch Levin. THE LABOR OF LIFE will be presented in both Yiddish (featuring Ronit Asheri, Israeli film star Gera Sandler and Eli Rosen) and English (with Amy Coleman, Eli Rosen and Yossi Sokolsky).

Both Sides Now! Judy Collins Brings Her Iconic Vocals To The McCallum Theatre

Through the generosity of Sue and Artie Buerk, the McCallum Theatre presents Judy Collins on Thursday, March 1, at 8:00pm. The award-winning singer-songwriter is esteemed for her imaginative interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk standards and her own poetically poignant original compositions. Her stunning rendition of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" from her landmark 1967 album Wildflowershas been entered into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Judy's dreamy and sweetly intimate version of "Send in the Clowns," a ballad written by Stephen Sondheim for the Broadway musical A Little Night Music, won 'Song of the Year" at the 1975 Grammy Awards.

Millikin University to Break Ground on New Center for Theatre and Dance in 2018

Millikin University announced on Oct. 11 that it will break ground on its new Center for Theatre and Dance in 2018 with plans to open the building in fall 2020. The $25 million facility will include a convertible theatre in addition to well-equipped studios, classrooms, design labs and public spaces for the School of Theatre and Dance. The innovative facility will house all areas of study within the nationally recognized School. The architectural partner of the project will be the Decatur, Ill., firm BLDD.

PINK MARTINI to Perform with the Seattle Symphony, 1/20

Tickets flew out the door for the December 4, 2014 Benaroya Hall concert by the popular Canadian Folk Bluegrass band The Wailin' Jenny's. A second concert will be added at 7:30 pm on Wednesday December 3, 2014 inside Benaroya Hall's Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall. On January 20 and 22, 2015 the dozen musicians that make up the Portland-based Pink Martini join forces with the Seattle Symphony for two concerts in the S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium. The Seattle Symphony Associate Conductor Stilian Kirov will lead the Pink Martini concerts.
