The young, multi-talented local musician, singer and songwriter Nakhane Toure will be joining the Suzanne Vega SA Tour in November 2013 as the supporting bill guest artist.

Blue Note Jazz Club, the iconic Greenwich Village jazz and blues venue that offers live musical performances every night of the week, is proud to announce an impressive roster of acts this September. Each performer is scheduled for two shows per night, 8:00 pm and 10:30 pm, unless otherwise noted. Doors open at 6:00 pm and reservations are strongly suggested. Tickets are $30 at the bar, $45 for table reservations.

The Houston Symphony's October calendar has something for music lovers of all ages and backgrounds. Classical music enthusiasts will have an opportunity to come to both Jones Hall and Sugar Land Baptist Church to see the Symphony's Music Director Designate Andres Orozco-Estrada conduct the concert Midori Plays Mendelssohnfeaturing Japanese American violin superstar Midori on October 17-20. Then, on October 24, 26 and 27, the Symphony's newly appointed Principal Oboist Jonathan Fischer will take the solo spotlight in Mozart and Schumann to perform Mozart's tuneful Oboe Concerto.

Producers Kevin McCollum, Doug Morris and Berry Gordy are proud to announce 'Makin' It Motown,' a nationwide open call casting search for African American singers for both the Broadway production of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL and the upcoming national tour, with a rare opportunity to audition for this hit Broadway musical at the Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph) on Saturday, September 14. The first national tour will launch in Chicago in April 2014 at the Oriental Theatre.

MOTOWN THE MUSICAL hosted First Lady Michelle Obama and her daughters Sasha and Malia at the matinee performance on Sunday, August 25, 2013. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Felicia Boswell has stepped into the role of 'Diana Ross' in Broadway's MOTOWN, while Tony nominee Valisia LeKae is on vacation. Boswell first began performances earlier this week on August 13, and will remain through September 23 when LeKae returns to the Lunt-Fontanne.
