Beginning tonight, July 12, and through August 20, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will host the 34th annual Seaside Summer Concert Series at Coney Island and the 30th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series at Wingate Field in Crown Heights.
On Thursday, July 19, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will join entertainer Ben Vereen, the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for a day of events at Borough Hall as part of the 2012 "Lighten Up Brooklyn" campaign, an anti-obesity and healthy lifestyle initiative launched by BP Markowitz eleven years ago.
