VIDEO: American Ballet Theatre Previews Fall Season Featuring World Premieres by Michelle Dorrance and Jessica Lang

Programming for American Ballet Theatre's 2018 Fall season, October 17-28 at the David H. Koch Theater, was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie. The season will feature World Premieres by Michelle Dorrance and Jessica Lang, as well as centennial tribute performances of Jerome Robbins's and Leonard Bernstein's Fancy Free. The Actors Fund will honor dancer, choreographer and television dance competition judge Carrie Ann Inaba, Academy and Tony Award-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, and New York City Ballet principal dancer Robert Fairchild at The Actors Fund's Career Transition For Dancers Jubilee Gala tonight, November 1, 2017, at 6 pm at the New York Marriott Marquis (1535 Broadway). The gala will benefit The Actors Fund's services for the dance community.

PA Ballet Welcomes Corps de Ballet Member, Four Apprentices

Pennsylvania Ballet Artistic Director Angel Corella has announced the roster for the 2017/2018 Season with the additions of Corps de Ballet member Zecheng Liang, and new Apprentices Federico D'Ortenzi, Erin O'Dea, Taro Kurachi, and Cassidy McAndrew (previous member of Pennsylvania Ballet II).

Faculty for 2016-17 School Year at the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School Announced

Faculty for the 2016-17 school year at the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (JKO) School was announced today by ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie and ABT JKO School Artistic Director Cynthia Harvey.  Joining the faculty this year as Principal Guest Instructor is former ABT Principal Dancer Ethan Stiefel.  Also returning to train the next generation of dancers is former ABT and New York City Ballet Principal Dancer, Robert La Fosse.  Both Stiefel and La Fosse will teach students in the ABT JKO Pre-Professional Division.

The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition Announces Winners

The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition, April 26-30 at Symphony Space, NYC, ended in grand style with the announcement of medalists and winners of company contracts and school scholarships, and a Gala Performance with performances by guests Daniel Ulbricht and Erica Pereira  of New York City Ballet dancing the Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux (in memory of Violette Verdy, to whom the 2016 competition was dedicated), Washington Ballet's Brooklyn Mack and Ayano Kimura in the pas de deux from Giselle, Act II, and Soo Bin Lee and Seung Hyun Lee dancing the Black Swan pas de deux.

Valentina Kozlova's International Ballet Competition 2016 is April 25-3 at Symphony Space, 95tStreet & Broadway.  The event is dedicated toViolette Verdy. The beloved ballerina, choreographer, teacher, and writer was an early mentor of VKIBC and Valentina Kozlova.   Ms. Verdy was a judge in the first edition of VKIBC and later a competition honorary chairman.

2016 Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition Comes to Symphony Space This April

The Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition (VKIBC 2016) is dedicated to Violette Verdy, a wonderful human being as well as an early mentor of VKIBC and Valentina Kozlova. Ms. Verdy was a judge in the first edition of VKIBC and later a competition honorary chairman. This year's event will be held April 25-30, 2016 at Symphony Space (95th Street and Broadway) in New York City.

ABT Alumni to Attend Performance of GISELLE This Weekend

American Ballet Theatre will welcome over 200 former Company members as part of a 75th Anniversary alumni weekend. The weekend will include a special showing by the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School and a dancer seminar. The events will conclude with alumni attending a performance of Giselle today evening, May 23. The performance features Stella Abrera in her ABT debut as Giselle, opposite Guest Artist Vladimir Shkylarov as Albrecht and Veronika Part as Myrta.
