Chudomir (Playwright) Chudomir (author of Uncle Tako, the Bell-hop, Feasible, Letter from the Province, and My Poor Uncle), born Dimitar Hristov Chorbadjiiski, was a Bulgarian writer-humorist, historian, and painter, born in 1890 in the village of Turia. His main focus were the mannerisms and traditions that sprung from the Bulgarian village. The authenticity with which Chudomir painted his characters paved the way for a comedic sensibility that is truly Bulgarian. Chudomir's short stories date as early as 1907, and he continued to be active until his death in 1967. To this day, he is celebrated for his ability to expose the masked reality of life during communist time and satirize it subtly and masterfully.

CBS All Access announced today cast members joining its upcoming original series $1, a mystery set in a small rust belt town in post-recession America, where a one-dollar bill changing hands connects a group of characters involved in a shocking multiple murder.
