The Clucked Up Comedy series will return to the intimate City Theatre to present Clucked Up Saturday Night "Access Grant'd" starring actor, comedian and writer Red Grant with special guests Ashima Franklin and Darrell Banks for two performances at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on January 5, 2013. The evening will be hosted by Detroit's own comedian and impressionist, Martini Harris.
Comedy fans will be treated to an evening filled with some of Hollywood's biggest comedic superstars appearing and performing at Spike TV's 'Eddie Murphy: One Night Only,' the first-ever televised tribute to the comedy legend. Joining the all-star talent roster, which features many of Murphy's peers and co-stars, includes Jamie Foxx, Adam Sandler, Tyler Perry, Keenen Ivory Wayans and Nick Nolte. In addition, The Roots will perform throughout the evening as the show's house band. The producers of A Christmas Story, The Musical have announced that Dan Lauria will star as radio icon Jean Shepherd in the production when it arrives on Broadway at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre for its November 5 - December 30 engagement. Last seen on Broadway in the title role of Lombardi, Lauria is best known to television audiences around the country for portraying fathers, including dad Jack Arnold in the long running series 'The Wonder Years,' and his current role as dad Jack Sullivan on the TBS comedy 'Sullivan & Son."
