On May 10th, the Tampa International Fringe Festival will host the city-premiere of On the Fringe, a feature-length documentary about the life of performing artists on the Canadian Fringe Festival circuit.

The OrlandoFringe, Orlando's highest rated annual event, is about to cut the ribbon on their newest festival which will fill the void that many patrons have had since the 25th annual festival ended last May. The inaugural Orlando Fringe Winter Mini-Fest will take place January 5-8th at venues within the Lowndes Shakespeare Center, 812 E. Rollins Street, Orlando FL, 32803.

This November, FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade presents the Fifth Annual Gotham Storytelling Festival featuring a wide variety of downtown storytellers and solo performers.

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade in association with Concrete Drops will present a limited engagement of Martin Dockery's Love is a Battlefield, performed by Dockery and Vanessa Quesnelle, Friday, November 11 at 8pm and Saturday, November 12 at 8pm at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery). Minneapolis was the second US city I performed this show in, and it was also the first theatre festival I performed this show in. It's safe to say this was also the first bathtub show this theatre festival has ever had.

California Shakespeare Theater announced today that it will present the world premiere of The Great Tragedies: Mike Daisey Takes on Shakespeare, October 2 through October 12 at the Bruns Amphitheater.

In the world of theater, collaboration is essential to success. The director-writer partnership in solo theater is, for many, the most important partnership in the process of developing a show for a successful performance or run. Yet how do solo theater artists identify what collaborators their show needs, connect with these professionals at the most appropriate stages of their show's development, and properly evaluate who might be the best fit for the production's highest success?

Due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy and the current lack of power at UNDER St. Marks Horse Trade Theater Group has been forced to postpone their First Annual Gotham Storytelling Festival for November 7-12. Unfortunately due to outstanding conflicts Ophira Eisenberg, Real Characters, and Blaise Allysen Kearsley's How I Learned will not be appearing in this year's festival as previously scheduled.

Each month, Daisey will bring a new, groundbreaking monologue to Joe's Pub for a one-night-only engagement. In October, Daisey will premiere AMERICAN UTOPIAS.
