Klea Blackhurst, Erin Markey & More to Join THE MEETING* in Honoring Ethel Merman, 1/18

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, January 18 at 9:30 PM to open the Winter/Spring 2015 Season. The Meeting* has been called 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice. A story for Slate.com called the evening 'so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight.' The Fall 2014 shows sold out after a New York Times 'Arts & Leisure' piece ran in September. The January show will include a tribute to Broadway legend Ethel Merman, with special guests Klea Blackhurst, Erin Markey, Nora Mae Lyng, Molly Pope and Ben Rimalower. Tracy Stark serves as the show's Music Director.

Flashpoint Theatre Company Presents THE SANTALAND DIARIES, Now thru 12/21

Just in time for the holiday season, Flashpoint Theatre Company is presenting its 11th Anniversary performance of The Santaland Diaries, famed author David Sedaris' true story about his time spent as a Christmas elf in Macy's Santaland display. Set to run today, December 10-21 (Opening night is tonight, December 10, 8 p.m.), Barrymore Award nominee and Flashpoint regular Keith Conallen returns to this one-man show in the role of Crumpet, Sedaris' lovable, curmudgeonly elf, and brings another year of vicious laughter and heartwarming holiday spirit. The show will be performed at the Off Broad Street Theater, 1636 Sansom Street.

MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL to Return to NYC, Head to San Francisco in 2015

AnthonyKen LLC and Sheryl Lee Ralph/The Diva Foundation are pleased to announce that the critically acclaimed MIGHTY REAL: A FABULOUS SYLVESTER MUSICAL, the musical celebration of the life of the original 1970s "Queen of Disco" Sylvester, will return for a special one-night-only event in New York City at The Gramercy Theater (127 East 23rd Street) on Sunday, January 18th, 2015 at 8 PM. The musical will then take off for a limited engagement in Sylvester's beloved city, San Francisco, where it will play the Brava Theater Center (2781 24th Street) from Wednesday, February 11th - Sunday, March 1at, 2015 (Opening Night: February 14th, 2015). Plans for other engagements in cities across the country - and a return to New York City - will be announced in the New Year.

Theatre Exile begins its season examining the dark side of the American Dream with the Philadelphia Premiere of Lucas Hnath's Red Speedo. This taut, darkly comic new play runs now through November 23 at Theatre Exile's Studio X, 1340 S. 13th Street (13th and Reed Streets.) Opening Night is tonight, November 5 at 8 p.m.

Thirty years after proclaiming 'It's Raining Men,' music legend Martha Wash will make her debut at Feinstein's at the Nikko for two performances only - tonight, October 23 (8 p.m.) and Friday, October 24 (8 p.m.).

THE MEETING* Returns to Los Angeles this Week

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to THE BOOTLEG THEATER on Saturday, October 25 at 7:30 PM. After extended runs at 54 Below and Joe's Pub in New York, the show recently made its Los Angeles debut and is back for another performances. The Meeting* has been called 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post, and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice. A story for Slate.com called the evening 'so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight.' The recent opening of the Fall season in New York sold out after a New York Times 'Arts & Leisure' feature. Special guests for the Los Angeles show will be announced soon.
