Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway production of After Miss Julie officially opens tonight, Thursday, October 22nd.

On Wednesday, October 21, 2009, Tony® and Emmy® Award winning actor Mandy Patinkin will receive the coveted Prince Rainier III Award for his outstanding contribution to the arts at the Princess Grace Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.

On Wednesday, October 21, 2009, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA will host the Princess Grace Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City and present Awards to emerging artists in theater, dance, and film, as well as two Princess Grace Statue Awards to Brian Kulick and Gillian Murphy, artists who have previously won Awards and have shown achievement and growth in their respective fields. Every year, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) proudly awards these grants at its annual Awards Gala to support its mission of providing crucial support to emerging artists in America.

Stage star Martha Plimpton will make a guest appearance on CBS's The Good Wife tonight, October 20, in an episode entitled: Alicia and Will have 72 Hours to Prove that a Train Company, and Not the Engineers, is Responsible for a Freight Train Crash, and Secure the Widows their Husbands' Pensions. The episode airs on CBS at 10:00-11:00 PM, EST.

James Macdonald returns to the Almeida to direct the world premiere of Christopher Hampton's new version of Ödön von Horváth's Judgment Day. Judgment Day will run at the Almeida from 3 September - 17 October 2009, with press night on 10 September. Set designs are by Miriam Buether with costume design is by Moritz Junge, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Chris Shutt and music by Matthew Herbert.

Peter Gerety, Martha Plimpton, Samantha Soule, and Adam Rothenberg will read from Kara Manning's dark romantic comedy, Killing Swans, on October 10 at Rattlesick Playwrights Theatre. The reading will be directed by Ethan McSweeny.
