Signature Theatre has announced that the World Premiere of CHERI, conceived, directed and choreographed by Martha Clarke, will get a one week extension and now play a limited six week run through Sunday December 29 only. The production began preview performances on November 19 and opening night is December 8 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). A limited number of $25 tickets remain for the initial run through December 22 and tickets during the extension week are $75 each. Signature offers a waitlist option for all sold out performances. Names will be taken at the Box Office starting one hour prior to curtain. Waitlist tickets through December 22 are $25, subject to availability.

Juilliard Dance, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, presents New Dances PLUS: Edition 2013 from December 11-15, 2013featuring Juilliard alumna Pina Bausch's Wind von West (Wind from the West) performed by 4th-Year Dancers, plus three world premiere commissions created for each of the classes of Juilliard's Dance Division. This year's innovative choreographers are Juilliard alumnus Takehiro Ueyama (1st-Year Dancers); Brian Brooks (2nd-Year Dancers); and Juilliard alumnus Darrell Grand Moultrie (3rd-Year Dancers).

The 2013-2014 season marks the 40th anniversary of the performance career of the internationally celebrated Canadian dance artist Margie Gillis. In celebration, Montreal's Margie Gillis Dance Foundation launches a cross-Canada tour marking the illustrious four-decade career of the iconic dancer and choreographer, one of the country's most honoured artists.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) proudly reveals this season's Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography from more than 200 eligible productions in the 2012 - 2013 New York City theatre season. This year's awards will be presented to Ruben Santiago-Hudson for his direction of The Piano Lesson produced by Signature Theatre and Marlo Hunter for her choreography of Unlock'd produced by Prospect Theater Company. The winners join previous Joe A. The enduring music of Burt Bacharach is given new life as musician and actor Kyle Riabko (Spring Awakening, Hair) performs his unique, soulful arrangements of the Bacharach songbook with an eclectic group of young musicians and performers. Steven Hoggett, whose choreography has been featured in such diverse works as Once, Peter and the Starcatcher, andBlack Watch, returns to NYTW, this time as director. What's It All About? is a re-introduction to the timeless music of Bacharach through the eyes and ears of a new generation.

New York Live Arts begins the 2013-14 Studio Series work-in-process showings with Elena Demyanenko and Dai Jian's collaborative work, Blue Room, tonight and tomorrow, October 4th and 5th at 6:00pm, in the third floor studios at New York Live Arts. A 2013-14 Dance Theater Workshop Commissioning Fund Commission, the Studio Series showing of Blue Room will precede the world premiere of the complete work to be shown in New York Live Arts' Theater in February 2014.

Buckley will be singing some of musical theatre's most iconic songs, including songs she's sung in her sold-out national concert appearances. New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola has announced that Fetch Clay, Make Man, written by Will Power and directed by Des McAnuff, will begin performances tonight, August 23 at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is set for Thursday, September 12 at 7pm. Fetch Clay, Make Man is scheduled to run through Sunday, October 13; tickets are on sale now.

Theatre Planners presents Greeks 6 - Trojans 5, a world premiere comedy with music written by Chuck Faerber, directed by Rick Kuhlman, similar in style and spirit to 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' but whackier, involving Greek soldiers embedded in the fabled Trojan Horse. Although set in the ancient world, Greeks 6 - Trojans 5 is a hilarious, eccentric, and irreverent send-up of modern warfare, technology, and mores (yes - mores!). The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) and the Shakespeare Society (Artistic Director, Michael Sexton; Executive Director, Betsy Davidson Pickering) are now accepting applications for the 2013-2014Shakespeare Works Artist Residencies, part of the Shakespeare Society's Shakespeare Works program. The residencies will culminate in panel discussions about Shakespeare's plays, hosted by The Public Theater. The first two panel discussions will take place on Monday, September 30 and Monday, December 2 at 425 Lafayette Street.
