A LITTLE TRAVELING MUSIC Set for The Triad, 5/16

Kinky Boots' Eric Leviton and The Producers' Michael Kostroff reprise their Nightlife Award-winning comic cabaret show, 'A Little Traveling Music,' for one night at the Triad, at 158 W. 72nd Street, between Broadway and Columbus, on the 2nd floor.

Critic's Choice: This Weekend's Openings...'And All That Jazz'

Shows are opening, shows are closing and the newly reimagined national tour of The Phantom of the Opera continues its run at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center this weekend. Theater in Tennessee continues its fast-paced run through 2016 with a number of new openings this week, thanks to Bongo After Hours Theatre, Nashville Rep, Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre, Circle Players and more - and Cumberland County Playhouse, Arts Center of Cannon County, Street Theatre Company, Lakewood Theatre Company and ACT 1 continue runs of their latest shows - to give you even more opportunities to celebrate the magic of live theater in the Volunteer State! And on Monday night, The Chicago Talking Machine Company premieres its first Nashville show at the Centennial Black Box Theatre.

The Friday 5: Valley Regional Theatre's PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

As the national touring company of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera continues its run at TPAC, a brand new theater company debuts in White House this weekend, with another much-anticipated production of The Phantom of the Opera, based upon the novel by Gaston Leroux and featuring music by Donizetti, Mozart, Puccini and Gounod. Adapted by Tracy Wells, Ron Lee directs a cast that includes Deron Ryan Martel, Rebecca Nelson and Jonathan Hunter.

UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive to Open New Building 1/31

The University of California, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) is renowned internationally as one of the best venues for experiencing historical and contemporary world cinema. When BAMPFA opens its new downtown Berkeley building designed by Diller, Scofidio + Renfro to the public on January 31, 2016, filmgoers will be treated to more of the stellar film programming they've come to expect, as well as vastly improved facilities for experiencing and studying the moving image. In its inaugural year, BAMPFA will expand the number of film screenings it presents, hosting programs 52 weeks per year, offering more film programming for K–12 students and lifelong learners, and introducing some limited engagements of selected films. BAMPFA patrons will enjoy two state-of-the-art film theaters (232 and 33 seats, respectively), an exterior LED screen for occasional outdoor screenings, and easier accessibility to the well-appointed Film Library and Study Center, galleries, store, and cafe.

Photo Flash: First Look at Cirque du Soleil's New AVATAR-Inspired Show TORUK

Cirque du Soleil officially premiered its new arena touring show inspired by James Cameron's record-breaking movie  AVATAR, TORUK - The First Flight, on Monday, December 21 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.  The show will be presented there until January 3 and will then continue touring in arenas around the world.  TORUK - The First Flight comes to the New York area in September of next year, performing at Barclays Center in Brooklyn September 7-11 and at Prudential Center in Newark September 16-18. 

Sally Kellerman to Play Catalina Jazz Club

Sally Kellerman, the Oscar-nominated "Hot Lips" Houlihan of the original Robert Altman film 'M*A*S*H,' will bring her acclaimed show, 'A Little Jazz, a Little Blues, a Little Rock and Roll' to the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood for a special post-holiday engagement on Thursday, Jan. 7 at 8:00 PM.

Signature Theatre presents WEST SIDE STORY, directed by Signature Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner (Signature's Sunday in the Park with George, Cabaret). The musical, a collaboration of music, dance and theater giants Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Jerome Robbins and Arthur Laurents, is considered by some to be one of the greatest musicals of all time. WEST SIDE STORY will run from tonight, December 8 - January 24 in Signature Theatre's intimate MAX Theatre.
