Established in 2013 by the Kurt Weill Foundation for Music and SDC Foundation, the Kurt Weill Fellowship helps nurture early-career directors and choreographers by acquainting them with the stage work of Kurt Weill or Marc Blitzstein under the guidance of a master director or choreographer. The Fellowship provides the opportunity to assist or observe a master director or choreographer at work on a production, selected by the Kurt Weill Foundation, of a theatrical work composed by Weill or Blitzstein, including musical theater, opera, operetta, and dance works.

Guest conductor Mark Wigglesworth returns to lead Utah Symphony through three incredible symphonies in one night tonight, March 7 and 8 at 8 PM at Abravanel Hall. Opening the concert is Amadeus Mozart's Symphony No. 35 which was written when Sigmund Haffner, who belonged to a prominent Satzburg family, was to be granted nobility. The 'Haffner' Symphony was most recently performed by Utah Symphony on the Chamber Orchestra Series in 2009. David Cho conducted.

Mr. Hough is known for his thoughtful and engaging recital programs that combine his sharp intellect and keyboard mastery. Mr. Hough's program comprises Schoenberg's Six Little Piano Pieces, Richard Strauss' Traumerei, Wagner's Albumblatt, Bruckner's Erinnerung, Brahms' Fantasien, Op. 116 and Liszt's Sonata in B minor-a work that Mr. Hough performed and comprehensively examined in the 'The Liszt Sonata for iPad' app released last year by TouchPress.
